…he’d recuse himself of all analysis offered on the Patriots.

His last five years weren’t great, with the last two in particular being complete dumpster fires. His free agent and drafting results were GM malpractice. Every time he opens his mouth about this team, he’s shining a light on the sorry state he left things in and does him no favors in getting a HC job next season.

I truly believe he still has the coaching chops (so long as he loses the sycophants he’s carried with him over the years). But offering critiques of his former team will do him no favors.

The comments sounded pretty fair when i read them. Talks about the issues but doesn’t really take shots at mayo or anything.

I do find it a little weird that he wasn’t asked about them in week one when they had a brilliantly coached game and deserved some kudos. But now when things have gotten pretty ugly the patriots become a topic on the show.

Did he bang your spouse or something

He shoukd STFU about the patriots. He is responsibke for the complete absence of offensive talent.
You did this Bill. Clam up
I still don't understand what happened to the offense. When he left they had no QB, no WRs, no TEs and not much of an OL.

Fun hearing him say the kicker is way better than last year. Gee I wonder who drafted the guy last year…

miss the part where he said "the guy we brought in last year"?

Nope didn't miss it. That's why it was amusing he called it out.

I’m digging it. Maye is tied to Kraft, Mayo, Wolf and BB. Bill didn’t have the best things to say about Maye and gave the impression he wouldn’t have taken him at #3. How Maye turns out will show which direction Bob took was the right one.

And I’m still waiting for Bill to resurface one last time in the NFL for the long awaited sequel to the Tuna Bowl saga. Bob’s worst nightmare is history repeating itself and seeing his former coach have more success than him.

I don't think his observations have been overly critical. He seems pretty factual when he analyzes all the teams.

I don't want the Patriots to be terrible but I do hope BB is successful one more time.

BB has history working against him.

While other coaches have done well on second or third teams, no super bowl winning coach has ever won the Lombardi on a second (or third) team.

maybe he can do it. maybe he can't. will be interesting to see if any contenders are willing to pony up an offer for him at this point...
