The offensive line as we all on the forum agree is the most egregious.. like u said no body want to come here.. however no amount of money is going to get WRs or O lineman here when they know the QB sucks.

I think they might get lucky and get one by overpaying.

Maye needs to and will start sometime this season. I like the Jets game at home as some have stated. Sounds good to means the season is probably toast by then anyways. So, see what the kid can do and maybe that entices some players to come join the team next year.

The O-line struggles will continue throughout the season. Until they get that fixed, no one will be enticed to come to New England.

It just shows how much emotion is attached to the first few games of the season where a win or loss really swings a teams record and outlook one way or the other. Things aren't as volatile once a teams identity is better understood, making it easier to understand the outcome of the game.

You make a valid point. For the Brissett Patriota everything has to be set up for us to have a chance. It would not shock me for us to be in a dog fight with the 9ners even though they are down guys.

I consider our roster to be incomplete. We know we need to add more and Wolf can't fox everything in one off season. However sneakily I've told people that we need another guy to pair with gonzo. Marcus and Jon are not outside CBs. Alex Austin and Wilson have not shown anything this season. That guy we need is jahire Alexander in GB.

D needs to bounce back, very bad outing last night. May have been reeling from the loss of Bentley and the short week. OL obviously needs to do better , hopefully will be healthier for this one.

I hope theyre not actually planning to start maye here. Too much uncertainty. Id stick with the garbage time plan, personally would have brought him in a drive or 2 earlier in a 21-3 type game.

Mail it in == lose your job. In a league with short carreers and a lifetime of millions to make, they don't typically mail in games accept maybe week 17 with a coach on the way out. And even then, typically not.

Once the season is Toast then playing Brissett won't wash. Nobody will be interested in the Pats playing out the string with a bridge QB for no other purpose than delaying the inevitable. As long as the line is serviceable and Drake can stay upright (more then JB can now) then get him out there. Don't care how **** it looks in the early going i.e. ints etc. Crikey, Josh Allen was a complete bust in Year 1 but looked how that worked out.

Yesterday we learn that the Pats are 12th in the NFL with QB time in the pocket. Is the NE OL great? No, but they are not the sole reason why the 31st ranked NFL offense cant pass its way out of a paper bag. There is also lots of film with NE WRs open, but never getting the ball. Maye could be worse, which is hard to fathom, but at least he would be gaining experience and getting his rookie season over with.

I feel like ths fan base, people in the organization and Mayo as well. All collectively know Maye is ready. Beer keeps saying maye will play. I say this.. strange is available after week 5.. Lowe is back at practice. Brissett putting up another 88 yards passing game will only justify the reason to play your talented 3rd overall pick. Maye is QB 2 for a reason.

They've heard that the Pats are DOA so many times and got burnt believing it.

In the off season PF2 there was talk I saw on NFL network of there being some internal issues with him and questions about his use in the defense... so it was mentioned of him being a trade possibility.. I'm not sure what his contract is... but he's a player that is all-pro level and would thrive with gonzo..
