You should take a look at Purdy’s performance yesterday with his complete lack of weapons and reevaluate whether or not he’s “just another Jimmy G”

I will take Maye being the level of Purdy in a heartbeat. I can tell based of intial replies that people remain lazy on their analysis with Purdy.
Purdy fell into a perfect situation. A ready made team. He doesn't have to do much... he's a notch higher than a game manager at QB.. he gets the ball to his playmkers and let's them do the rest. Maye has the capability to elevate those around him with his skillet and athelex abilities. We won't Know more until maye gets his chance to start an NFL game.

I have no idea what "just another Jimmy G" is. Not related to me.

Since Mayo declared JB is the best chance going forward (for now), hopefully that means he realized the OL is not in the alignment it should be. If this means they move guys back to best natural position, and lean on any level of experience over new rookies.

It starts with Onwenu moving in to RG. When he's been pretty bad at pass-pro, then there's no value. Add to it that Robinson has been beat pretty bad on a lot of plays, it's a no-brainer. I'd even suggest Thomas start at RT (with Wallace as backup)

Lowe/Jacobs at LT. Let Jacobs have the chance to outplay Lowe.
Jordan/Sow at LG. When Sow is healthy, he may be better served at RT if Jordan keeps being the most steady OL at LG.

Thank you I'll also add Purdy have a little Rodgers in him the way he extends plays by just slightly moving. Like you said I would take Maye at Purdy's level in a heartbeat too.

I really did not have the heart to start this thread, but there has not been much new to discuss these past few days.

The Pat's 31st ranked offense faces off against the 49ers 8th ranked offense. The ability or inability to put points on the board is what it basically boils down to.

This WR Juuan Jennings for SF looks like something. A 7th round pick.

#1 Overall here we come Carolina with Ginger Dalton would destroy us right now.

"Some say Baker has a knack" - meaningless dribble.

Baker lacks acceleration but has an explosive first step after the catch? Makes no sense.

Baker lacks acceleration but hits a solid top speed. So he runs fast but takes a long time to get there. Maybe that is OK for a deep ball if you have a lot of time.

Baker had one of the highest drop rates in college football. I didn't see anything impressive in preseason. I think he might change direction well if he is up to speed and is a good route runner. That would be valuable. Polk shakes defenders well too.
One-if quit it with the Baker jab he will be our Best WR in due time just watch he has a lot of talent.

When Baker fails what will you say? The dude has stone hands. One of the highest drop rates in college. Alarming drop rate that you ignore.

While Baker has good form and a knack for acrobatic and/or contested catches, he boasted an alarming drop rate. His drop rates in 2021 through 2023 were 12.5%, 12.5%, and 10.3% respectively.Apr 9, 2024

I am going to reserve judgement on him you cannot judge anybody on Offense on this current Team too many holes.

He's literally a Bourne clone tough player who gives it his all.

Give maye KB, Polk and pop and I bet you the offense flows smoothly.. Drake abilities is the only remedy for this porous line..

Jennings has been a player for them.. he was the guy always getting open and making plays on 3rd down... I think he right now commands the teams best CB not ayuik right now. If we put j. Jones or Marcus on Jennings he'll have another 100 yard day.

How many "tough " "warrior" compliment can you give for a bad QB Drake can be that and more. Drake don't get flustered like bow and arrow Brissett.

You've been harping on that and you are right Real our Jones boys are really Solt CB's and not Outside CB's. That dam Jack Jones pissed me off with his shenanigans. The Texans with Collin and Diggs and Dell are going to murder us.

Yep saw his slow long wind up that breaking ball or change up will get there soon enough...oh wrong sport Brissett.

The drop rate is from college - nothing to do with our offense. One of the worse drop rates of all 2024 draft prospects. The game speeds up in the NFL, so the drop rate only increases. Some NFL teams have a max drop rate of 10% in college, and above that they will not draft the player. Baker has a 12.5% drop rate. Baker is a very high risk prospect.

Yes my guy PF2.. that's why you been Seeing my post that we need to trade for another CB. I had expectations for for A. Austin and woozy buddy Wilson.. neither one have done anything. We have all these 6ft CB none of them can get playing time. We need a game changer like jhaire Alexander opposite Gonzo.
