Nah they didn’t have to adjust to anything..he was drafted as a low ceiling high floor guy and teams defended him accordingly.They adjusted to him. Number 1, he was jittery in the pocket, so they knew he was gutless. Number 2, the flooded the middle of the field because he wouldn't throw an out. The guy is really a bad QB, and it's easy to adjust to him.
Last 6 games he threw for 8 TDs and 7 INTs. That includes the 50-10 win over Jax where he threw 3 TDs and 0 INTs.
These #s in the final 3rd of 2021 were very very similar to what he did the next 2 years.
And why shouldn’t the Jax game count? That game was literally the difference between making the playoffs and not making them- ask Miami how that turned out.
He had an 87 rating in his last 6 games of 01. That’s a lot closer to average than anything worse.
