Don't we have the tackle and guard we picked up at cutdown day on the roster? I have to think we'll see them before Caleb Jones.

Yes, the Pats still have Demontry Jacobs and Zachary Thomas.

But, keep in mind, The Pats added Kromah over the likes of Joe Giles-Harris, Ochaun Mathis, Trysten Hill, Jaquelin Roy, and Jotham Russel despite the Pats losing TWO LBs in Ximenes and Bentley. The LBs are currently Tavai, McMillan and Curtis Jacobs. with Dugger and Peppers are the Box DBs.

Me neither I think their WR's after Garret Wilson is pretty weak. They are not Seattle who have Three Very Good Receivers.
I think next off season we should try and sign Wilson for maye daye..

Yes I just don't get it. He's a massive guy.. been in the league a few years with GB so he has starting experience.. he's got to be better that what we have at tackle..
Perhaps there is a reason that a LT with experience is not on anyone's roster. Does he have to better than Lowe, Wallace and Jacobs? I don't think so. More importantly, the staff doesn't think so. BTW, it would cost very little to elevate him and have him as the 6 OL in the jumbo package. The staff would rather have Leverett do that (or perhaps Jacobs).

BOTTOM LINE
We have Wallace, Jacobs and Lowe. Thomas is also an OT. I suspect that the team thinks that ALL of these players are better than Jones, while you seem to think that Jones is better than any of them.
==================
RATE PLAYERS AT THE LT POSITION (we only need 2-3 on the roster)
Lowe
Wallace
Jacobs
Thomas
Jones

This seems to say that they like Jacobs and Kromah more than our Practice Squad scrubs.

- Garret Wilson WILL have his 5th year option picked up. That means he won't be an FA until after 2026.
- What makes you think that the Pats will need Wilson by then? Can we give Polk, Baker and Douglas a chance with a decent O-line?

Or it just means that Kromah and Jacobs (who has been with the club for 3 weeks) are more game Ready and fit the need that the Pats see right now.

Why is it that you insist on throwing out these sorts of assumptions? (that's rhetorical, btw)

Yes, I wanted better LT's, want better LT's and would want us to sign a better LT. That being said,

If you told me before the season started that Wallace would be starting Game 3 at LT, with Jacobs as backup, I think I would have thought that that was OK, especially if it was noted that Lowe would be better than last year, and better than in the pre-season.
============
BOTTOM LINE
Let Wallace be our LT. Let him make his mistakes. If we need to go back to Lowe, then we will. But we and Wallace will be better off with Wallace playing a couple of games at LT.

After all, what choice do we have?

Lowe is always hurt or dealing with something even last season. He's a big guy with length but Peter's is trying to get him to increase his punch strength to stand up DL men using his length.. he and chuck's are pretty light for tackles..

My guess is see what Jones can give you. It's been a constant revolving door on the line. The stalwarts Andrews and owenu can't cover up for the piss poor play of the tackle position.

we don't know for a fact if his option will be picked up.. I mean NY would be foolish not too. I absolutely agree with you polk, Baker, and Douglas are absolutely part of the future with Drake. Right now pops talents aren't being utilized.

Me too. We can't talk about WR until we have a decent LT. Maybe that starts tonight with Wallace or Jacobs.

Edit: sorry its me not you
Lol it's ok I get what you meant. Yes Wallace is definitely an option if he can hold up I say run with it right?

Win or lose, give me a good performance from wallace tonight and in sf and ill be happy. If maye is starting week 5 as many speculate, thinking sow will be back by then. Layden has 2 more games to get his **** together as a pass blocker or else you can roll with wallace-jordan-Andrews—sow-onwenu until /if strange can take over at LG. It could be a decent line for maye to operate behind

Matt Light was 305.. Just sayin

How is Okorafor "light" at 320?
Lowe is 315.

Yes. We do know it will be picked up. Woody may be a gigantic arsehole, but he would make sure he was extended or traded to a team that would extend him.. And that team won't be the Patriots.

Yes. I know that the WR Talent isn't being utilized properly. That's mainly because of the O-line and Brissett.. Hopefully that changes.

Matt light is a patriots HOF player.. Lowe isn't in the realm of skill he had or tenanicity... just saying...

Ok. Points taken. Well I hope the line can stabilize.. if so we may have finally found a collection that works. Here's another thing.. what if?... things get really bad in NY and Wilson doesn't want to remain?
