If the Pats get blown out, pressure will really build for Maye - in a dysfunctional way.
But, I hope they don't. I still want to see a steady, surprising OL - like the Bengals game.
Maybe Wallace will be better than Lowe. Hopefully Onwenu gets better at the edge stuff.
If they lose while running well but not lighting up the passing game, the team can see hope and build steadily toward an eventual Maye entrance.
Even if they win, it won't prevent Maye from playing when they deem it time. He was never going to start these first 4 games.
That shouldn't be too hard we have pretty Lowe bar to start with get it Lowe bar.

I like what ive seen overall from this team but not feeling too great about this one. Im thinking we’ll keep it close with the run game and defense but again its going to come down to the better qb. Unless the defense has the game of its life like in cincy or we get a big play or 2 from st seeing an L here.

Rodgers has shown some glimpses of the guy the jets need him to be. Saw a little bit of it in the 9ers game despite the blowout and im hearing there were more in the Titans game. Expecting more progress but hopefully the short week throws him off. Brissett is what he is and he wont lose the game for us if we get the necessary breaks.

Im still eyeballing week 5 for maye’s debut when the schedule lightens up a little. Would love to somehow scratch out a 2-2 record for it but 1-3 is not the end of the world either if we can get into a little midseason groove with the rook.

To be honest I would rather lose by 20 than by 3. When I was in the Air Force, we took at test over job knowledge and Air Force history and that made up part of our promotion score. 3 times I missed getting promoted by less than a point, so yes I would rather lose by a lot than a little. It hurts more knowing there was a chance but then you ****ed it up.
fair enough

However, no surprise, I strongly disagree.

Consider the team if we go finish the rest 4-11 with 5 losses by 7-14 points.

OPTION ONE
We lose the other six by at least 20 points.

OPTION TWO
We lose the other six by 1-6 points.

BOTTOM LINE
I strongly, strongly favor OPTION 2. We would have a terrible 5-12 record. However, we would feel very good about the future, knowing that we were competitive almost always.

What we have seen so far is that we've been in both games with a shot to win. IF we manage to keep this one close on the road hats off to Mayo. That said the Jets pass Offense is basically G Wilson and B Hall... A Lazard is meh even at his size nothing special. IF Gonzo does his job on Wilson it could be tough going for the Jets in the passing game. IF we somehow get our WR's going we could get this one.

Mr. Happy is looking forward to meeting Mr. Rodgers

Does not look good for the Patriots. At least we get to see Wallace ar LT.

Jets have a running back and good wrs. I expect the patriots to be losing for most of the game and then lose the game. Patriots secondary does not do enough and the jets do run the ball

Going be quite a contrast watching his passes and Rodgers who throws ropes. And when Brissett locks on he locks on very Amateurish for a vet.
Yeah and it's said back up QBs are back ups for a reason.. if Rodgers had our WRs he would have pop doing Welker numbers..

Wonder what ever happened to Caleb Jones the 6"9 OT on the practice squad currently.

He's still on the PS. I don't believe the Pats made any elevations which is boggling considering the injury report.
Yes I just don't get it. He's a massive guy.. been in the league a few years with GB so he has starting experience.. he's got to be better that what we have at tackle..

Don't we have the tackle and guard we picked up at cutdown day on the roster? I have to think we'll see them before Caleb Jones.

Mike I can't understand why he wouldn't be called up.. massive guy.. and has starting experience.. wouldn't that be a guy to play LT?...

I assume they have him behind Wallace and Jacobs? I really don't know.

Well Wallace was considered a RT? Or guard I can't remember... but between the injuries, players leaving the team and just poor play the line is just I'm dissary. Feel like Peter's is a good coach but he has little to work with.

Right, but that was when Chuks was second string, I think. So I'm assuming Wallace is the LT now. Um... or someone else?

One thing I’m noticing with Stevenson is the more he carries, the looser he gets with the ball.

Feels like a matter of time before a game changing fumble
Agree. Looks more tired

Laughed becuase LOL it's like musical cheers. A physical imposing guy like Jones should at least be in the mix or the passing game is going to continue to suffer. I believe Wallace masquerade at LT..

I haven't been impressed with the Jets' offense. They look like a school yard offense. "Garrett, run to the blue car and get open" type of crap. No discipline. Rodgers is erratic at times. I think the Pats can give him problems.

The Jets' defense has been outstanding though. I am not sure if the Pats can score on them.

The Pats usually have the Jets' number and Salah is a horrible coach, but that was with Belichick. Not sure if this team will do the same.

If we can't pass the ball we don't have a prayer against the Jets or any team. Jets are missing key guys on defense just like us.. so expect both teams to be able to run a little bit tonight.

Me neither I think their WR's after Garret Wilson is pretty weak. They are not Seattle who have Three Very Good Receivers.
