The pass defense against Seattle got hurt in the 2nd and 3rd especially when they were in a no-huddle. It just simplified our pass rush and made them easy to block (maybe we should do this on offense).

This being a copy cat league, I expect other teams to do the same to our defense.
With 3 good WRs.. taking one away was a good sign. Geno made yards primarily in the middle of the field. As the outside had to be accounted for. We need to try some different.. put baker in to carry coverage down field.

So who would the full second line even be right now... Wallace / Jordan / Leverett / Thomas / Jacobs ...?

I'm gonna venture to guess that Robinson and Onwenu will play since they were limited and not DNP. Andrews is also getting "veteran rest" days so might be part of his DNP designation... but still, might mean Wallace at LT

Soy Sauce Gardner struggling right now giving up 119 yards and 121 QB rating when thrown at.

Gonzalez on the other hand continues a strong start with only giving up 43 yards and a 56.2 rating when thrown at.

I think these short week injury reports are always dubious anyway. They ask you what they WOULD have done if you had practiced, which means coaches can basically put whatever they want on there and there's no way to prove a "violation". I'm sure they've got dings, but I doubt they all wouldn't have practiced if the week was longer.

That said, as a hypothetical, if all of them missed the Jets game, your line is probably:

LT - Wallace
LG - Liam Fornadel
C - Leverett
RG - Thomas
RT - Trey Jacobs or Caleb Jones

The bigger issue in that case is they have ONE backup (whoever isn't starting at RT). Either way, it's a grim sight.

As much as that scares the **** out of me, I'm curious to see Jacobs and Thomas to see what we have there.

Well sauce will have a day off Thursday. Gonzo on Wilson I'd imagine.. be a good game for one of our bigger DBs to step up and contribute.. Marco wilson just isn't it.

Losing Bentley is crushing. But I think it'll be Tavai as MLB leader over Mcmillan.
Yes. I’m looking for him to play well. Be an impact player.

And if BoneyT can make a long reception, that might be the sign the Patriots will win.

Both are second round picks.

garbage time in the 4th to get his feet wet...
Continuing the train of thought, if there's a time for Maye to get his feet wet, it might as well be with the Jete in garbage time. Question is what kind of garbage is gonna show up?

Lowe returned to Sunday's game after being injured for some snaps - that's how Wallace got the illegal formation penalty cause he moved to TE. So I would think that Lowe is playing on Thursday. Wouldn't mind seeing Wallace at RT though and move Onwenu to RG.

While that 5 terrifies me for multiple QBs getting injured - I'm not sure it's going to be demonstrably worse than what we've seen through the first two games.

Try approaching it like a preseason game where Jacoby plays Q1, bring Maye in for Q2, then decide at the half who should play the 2nd half.

I think Jacobs can be a good swing tackle, and Thomas has the chops to be a potential starting guard with emergency tackle flexibility. Good pickups IMO but probably earlier than they wanted them to see the field.

Funnily enough, I did suggest that for the regular season after the last preseason game. Consider 2024 the preseason to 2025...

I mean, you always think, "It can't get any worse..." Until it does. Especially when there's a couple more injuries and suddenly you're playing Austin Hooper at RT.

People who didn't go through 1-15 and 2-14 thinking like Cam's 7-8 (7-9 overall) was a horrible season was fairly entertaining. Then there's the 0-16 teams who are thinking... this is the worst of the worst... until a football team's plane crashes over the Andes and skinny WRs have to feed off of the carcasses of the linemen...

... I'm telling you I need a breathalyzer before posting...

We've got to move Onwenu back to RG.
Wallace should not be put in a bad position at LT (especially vs. Jets) - but enter at RT where he's familiar.

For Thurs - Lowe / Jordan / Andrews / Onwenu / Wallace

And keep Lowe on notice. If he struggles, have Jacobs ready to spell him and battle it out for who's better.
So, your cure for the OL is to bench Robinson? It's not happening.

How is that relevant to the patriots? Brissett isn't getting over 100 against Sauce.

If either Jacobs (or Wallace )is a good swing OT for 2025, we really are really in relatively good shape in 2025, needing to sign 2 OL's: a backup center capable of starting and a top-level LT.

And yes, we have plenty of guards with Onwenu moving to OG: Sow, Strange, Robinson

Jacoby Brissett so far - 30/51, 270 yards
Aaron Rodgers so far - 31/51, 343 yards
Macky jones.. average 192 pass yards last season... run for your life Brissett averages..120
