I do not think Brisset was the problem. Did you not know what he is? And he certainly is not the problem you have to solve. That would be the O-line and at least half the receivers.

I'm ready for Maye. JB is supposed to be the steady vet who won't make mistakes. If we're going to see the kinds of mistakes Brissett is making and endure the fact that he never looks at a WR then let's have Maye. He's going to make mistakes too but at least he'll put some life into the offense.
Yeah I’d rather score 27 pts and throw a couple ill-advised INTs. Almost everything has to go right when you don’t have a QB or an offense to speak of. Week 1 it did. Today, too much went wrong

So many little errors in this game. Situational football was non existent. Our QB cannot throw downfield with any accuracy. This was a winnable game so many times and we just could not finish. I am not sure he will win us more than 3-4 games this year.

I don’t get why we didn’t try to sneak Brissett

Exactly.. Guy is 6'4 & 235#.

I don't know about you all, but I didn't see a whole helluva lot of outside zone blocking.

I also didn't see ANY slants. Saw a couple of quick outs, but they didn't build on it.

And, as other people said, where the hell was the Play-Action pass?

I don't think you can call letting Geno Smith go 31/42 for over 300 yards a positive development, if the strength of your team gets carved up by a QB like Geno we could have some ugly games coming down the road with this limited offense.

Ugh totally a game that we should have won….a lot of questions for AVP on play calling and clock management for Mayo…..and JAGoby shows why he is a JAG….in fairness he played decently up until the last few series where he made rook mistakes…..tough loss

Good Lord! Our wide receivers in a game that went into Overtime on a picture perfect day to throw the ball, caught 3 passes for a total of 19 TOTAL yards!! Let that just sink in for a moment… We heard that AVP favored tight-ends but good grief!!

They can’t get pressure regularly without blitzing,
Lowe has been fine enough, Onwenu had a couple pass block plays were bad and at least 1 for Robinson
They played there game, kept it close but missing any playmakers just not enough.
Playing hard, in games with less talent than opposition so coaches gettin a lot out of the players.
Need a playmaker on offense, Maye probably the only hope in that regard but line needs to be better in pass protection. Need Sidy Sow back to help stabilize the line a bit on pass protection.

Despite the frustrating outcome, this was a good day for the Pats development. Enough results were there for the players to feel good about their effort, Jacoby set the table for losing his job without being terrible and positive impact to draft position. I just hope the OL injuries aren't serious.
agree on all fronts. Jacoby is truly awful at anything other than handing off or throwing 6 yards.

Tough guy.

Good guy.

But play the damned rookie as I can live with a rookie taking dumb sacks.

Quick turnaround the play the Jetes. Sigh, this one would have been easily won with better QB play. Was this better than Mac? Of course, there weren't mind numbing INTs etc, but not good enough to win in the NFL.
I’m not sure that Brissett is better than Mac….especially if Mac had had this coaching staff instead of the 3 stooges!

Brisset has been really good in short yardage. Maybe he was just too banged up to try it, but thats a situation you gotta nutt up and make it happen

The issue is, Maye being in there wouldn't change what the line became in pass situations and won't change that WR's struggled to get open.

On third we should have but there wasn't a 4th and 1 after the penalty.

Coaching lost this game...why would you punt on 4 and 1 in OT?

If you can't trust your offense to get that much, then just kneel and let the other team win.
Why should he have trusted the offense to get that much?

The D is a bigger strength. Nothing the O did was impressive.

It seems like it’s been ten years since this team threw the ball to the WR more than 5 yards down the field
