Chukwuma Okorafor informed the Patriots he was leaving

Okorafor is a classic example of a talented guy who manages to bank some bucks and then loses his will to play afterwards. He got a contract from the Steelers before the 2023 season, complained his way out of Pittsburgh, pocketed a $ 2 million signing bonus from the Pats, and is now wondering if he wants to play anymore. Hope he decides to retire and stops wasting his and everyone else’s time.

Wolf should have been a little more skeptical of what happened in Pittsburgh, perhaps, but, signing him was worth a try. What were the veteran alternatives? Did anyone want to bring Trent Brown back? Pay 34 year old, chronically injured Tyron Smith more than the $6.5 million he got from the Jets? Or sign Jonah Williams for $16 million guaranteed just to already have him already be on IR?

Our QB's are doing this.

have to imagine we're getting some of that bonus back right?

It was a guaranteed bonus that he already received; however, I have to imagine that the team should be able to file a grievance if he just dips out after 1 game. It’s guaranteed for injury, and it’s guaranteed if they had decided to cut him, but he doesn’t get to necessarily get the money and then say “thanks for paying me, I don’t actually want to work though, bye.” So I would imagine it’s something that would get credited in 2025 for the majority of that $4M they paid him. I’m not a cap expert though.

Keep his spot for Kendrick Bourne addition by subtraction.

Lends credence to the rumors that he didn't really seem to give a ****. Chuks Outthedoor.

I didn’t think anyone was as lazy and a sabotage to his own talent as much as Brown in enters chuks.

Such a waste of talent, can’t be mad at Wolf to try to get the most out of him he’s a big piece of clay maybe there’s some mental emotional issues there.

Either way we are moving on and I like the spirit of this team.
Baker and Chuks seem to be a counter to the culture a fly In the ointment,

Of course we can. Many of us told Wolfie not to sign the dude, but he up and d-i-d it anyway.

I would've offered him $7.5M guaranteed.

Depending on his injury status, D.J. Humphries is a guy I’d like them to consider. I’m assuming Bakhtiari is holding himself back waiting for Tryon Smith’s usual injury. Donovan Smith is another guy, not very good but is he worse than Lowe?

The people suggesting Chuks left because the team did something bad by moving him from right to left are daft.

He sucked for 6 years in Pittsburgh on the right side before he got moved to the left. He sucked here on both sides… that had nothing to do with it. He just sucked… period.

He’s a poor athlete and Elliot Wolf got infatuated with his long arms… which is why we have to watch Lowe muck it up now. And no, Lowe isn’t better or good, he just hasn’t been exposed enough yet.

All those people here who argued how I was wrong about these OT signings this off-season…

Not to pat myself on the back, but I was preaching the need for a quality backup center the last couple years. I mostly got responses of "why, we have Andrews". This is why. OL is one of those positions where you always should have guys you're developing.
Congrats to you who knew that Andrews was going to be injured.

****…if these dudes just want to treat money like this they can give it to me instead. Talk about wasted opportunity…
