We hope that Sow is healthy.

However, for now, our only backups for OG and C are Leverett and Thomas.

Jordan started, but he can only be elevated three times, presuming that no one picks him up.

I would expect us to add a backup center. Perhaps that will be enough until Strange is back, with Jordan being elevated a couple of more times. Of course, that presumes that Thomas is to be the primary backup. If not, we should add Jordan to the roster until Strange comes back (that would be my choice in any case). That would add a roster spot, but we won't carry 5 OT's for very long.

I would love to see them bring Jordan to the 53 and let Leverett go. Leverett is bad at center and not as good a blocker as Jordan. Leverett cannot block when he snaps the ball if there is a 0 tech over him.

But you need a backup center

Sorry I didn't finish my thought. Hudson on the PS has showed during the preseason to be capable Center, certainly no worse than Leverett. If Coach decides Hudson isn't it then pick up anyone. I have no faith in Leverett as a Center.

My plan as well. I was a bit disappointed when Jordan was waived but glad he made it through to the ps. I truly feel he should be on the 53

I think that we are playing needless games by risking that another team could pick up Jordan. Yes, I understand that it would be unlikely. Unless Thomas is ready to start (and to later be our primary OG backup), I don't see why we should take the risk.

If 6-7 wins is the best case scenario, I see no point keeping anyone but our best 53, backup C be damned.

That makes sense. NOT Why should we not develop anyone for next year and just sit and watch Leverett fail. It cost no more to replace bottom of the roster players, certainly not much.

After last Sundays win perhaps that number is too low?

3 - 0 is a real possibility.

As is 1-2. I am very glad NE won the opener. But I don’t think it means they are going to make a leap. Would I love it ? Sure. But I can’t say I believe it will happen. I think 6-7 wins is still very high for this squad this season.
