Cryin' Jacoby

Odd take. Do you not recall Brady crying in the documentary years ago?

I cry sometimes…in fact I did last week when the shooting happened twelve miles from our house at Apalachee.

That make me soft?

This isn’t 1950 when men bottled up any and all emotion, swilled cheap whiskey, and died of heart attacks at 48 regularly.

Hell, I’m superstitious so now Jacoby needs to cry three times before all games.
Yes. Yes is does. Shootings happen all the time in Boston (less than 50 miles away from where I live) and I don't cry over them.

Crying in a documentary years after the events is one thing. Crying before and after a Game 1 when you know you're not the plan for the team going forward is ridiculous.

But he won't. He will play a year here and then maybe have an outside chance of being a starter on a QB starved team. The future is Maye. He has to know that. At the end of this one-year deal the Pats will come to him with an offer and it will be to be a backup.
He understands that. There was a real possibility that he did not start and that could have killed off his QB career.

And he wants to play while serving as a mentor. He is a bit different than hoyer who was content to hold placard.

So it's natural to feel emotional and also to start for the team that originally drafted him should be emotional . They had given up on him after the first 1 year. You should read his interview where he stated that he wanted to retire when his chances ebbed and went to counselling , went through hell before making a great comeback.

I actually suspect he retires after this season.

Personal growth is good. Dealing with your problems is good also. Crying on the football field isn't. Telling the media you've done so isn't.

Lol.

I honestly just feel bad for you.

What a hardo post for the OP. He’s been a backup most of his career and this is one of the only times he’s ever been a day 1 starter. It’s an amazing accomplishment that he deserves to be proud of.

The OP comes off as either just a huge a-hole or maybe someone who’s just never worked hard for and accomplished something so he can’t relate to how that feels.
