~4.33 seconds time to throw (based on a different video). I'd be ecstatic if the line held for more than 3.5 seconds at any point during the game during a standard rush.

Yeah that is what stood out to me. He had pretty good protection. Not perfect but it was generally solid. I don’t have faith it’ll be this good for him in NE, certainly not early on… And there’s no Amari Cooper on this roster. Hopefully the line holds up better than expected, and a WR steps up. I’m cautiously optimistic about Thornton and Polk.

Thornton’s limited preseason tape seems like he’s really doing it all (route running, separating, deep speed) at a fairly high level, so my only reservations are if he can actually execute in game and if his body holds up.

With Polk, I feel like he’s just got that instinctive route-running smoothness and knack for getting open… He’s not a burner but it seems like he manages to get open a lot. I’m feeling good about how he’s developing.

Based on the date on the boarding pass shown in the last picture of the instagram post, it seems like it was this past weekend. Crazy that they would let him do that this close to the season.
