Can't wait to see the Patriots Game plan on both sides of the ball. I expect the Bengals to blitz on almost every play they would be foolish not to.

Cincy for first 9 games last season looked like the Cincinnati patriots averaging 11 ppg. If the Bengals blitz let them.. rham and gibby will eat all day. This game has nothing to do with Brissett it's all on rham, gibby, Polk. If we get anything from TT I'd be happy.

I guess with Trent Brown I can't get last season out my head. I've seen him at his best and his worst. When he's at his best guys a immovable force.. when he's at his worst.... well....

Our Defense was overrated last year we played some crappy Teams which padded our stats. We have the Toughest Schedule this year gotta hope for injuries we are last in the Division again.

There's a reason posters started joking on here "how's the weather?" when the Pats would play a good team. On paper, there's virtually no talent on that side of the ball, especially with Barmore and Judon gone. They overachieved and held on for dear life with Bill's scheme alone. It's hard to believe Mayo is going to have a better scheme or put players in better positions than Bill.

They are good enough PF2. 2nd best in AFCE. The games have to be played.. it never pans out the way we think. I understand why your not as high as I am.. but it's more on the offense.. I don't expect the D to be top 5.. but they are still good enough. The key is the offense..if captain Brissett can do anything that leads to scoring than we have a chance. I don't have much faith

I'd say they are dam good players..last season if the offense wasn't " ass' peppers would have been an all pro. I can't accept they aren't good. With Barmore they are elite. Without him they are still good enough by all means in 2024 NFL standards. They are the part of the team that at least we can optimistic on. If captain Brissett gives anything on offense I'd take it.

By playing Cincy before October, you actually have to play vs Burrow. If it was mid Fall, he’d likely be on the injured list, as per usual.

Sadly, the backup would be sufficient to take NE, as I am still very very weary of the OL « protecting » JB. I don’t know the sacks against record, but with 17 games, NE has a chance…

I love it personally. I like them in this position. Becuase what's ultimately gonna happen is captain Brissett will go down and we will get to see Maye daye..

I think people are going to be in for rude awakening I envisioned this Defense with Judon not without: anybody who thinks otherwise good luck. I don't see this Defense getting to the QB without Blitzing when you Blitz somebody is on a Island. How many times are we going to be successful at that?? Not holding my breath yes they will miss BB's game planning on Defense.

Those are not names that keep OC's up at night. They got handled badly against all the good teams last season and it's been a trend since 2020. Ex players like Ninkovich and Ty Law have said they don't give any resistance to the good teams. Taking Bill away is going to expose a lot of these guys.

Dugger had his worst season as his snap count went up. Peppers is a nice player. Jones is a fine slot CB. Bentley is a JAG. Nobody knows who White is other than Pats fans. Gonzo was on pace to give up close to +-1,000 yards last season depending on what source you look at.

We are playing Teams who have some of the better WR tandems in the league. Some might say we have a chance against Seattle but they have Metcalf - Lockett and Smith-Ninja. That's a Tough Three WRs for any Secondary.

Ok. Lol.. dugger and peppers are top 10 NFL safeties and we're paid according. Josh Allen would love to have the Patriots defense! Let's revisit this after week 1. If they get toasted week one I'll come around.

They played most of the season without Judon last year. Without Gonzalez either.

Barmore is the big missing piece.

You could be right. However what if those INTS lead to scores from Cincys DBs.?.. say we are down 24- 7 in the 4th.. does Mayo pull him? To let Drake get mop up duty? Let's say Drake goes on 2 scoring drives, and makes it a 1 possession game... the pressure to play the kid would be immeasurable....

Brissett isn’t really starting material and the team knows that. He’s a mentor. That’s the plan. On the road the INT’s won’t matter. Mayo and Brissett will need to tough it out at home through boos.
