The Bill Boyz are just as Bad as the Brady Boyz were

Jonathan and BB couldn't coexist. There was no path forward. All things end.
I don't think it was Jonathan so much as it was both Krafts. Bill had free reign as long as he could produce. There's very few owners that would have allowed the coach to do a lot of what he did the last 5 years. He got fired because he had full control and then had the team progressively decline each year until a total disaster happened last year.

He proved he didn't deserve the freedom he was given and it was too hard to reign him in at that point so they started fresh.

Lombardi has been considered a hack by football fans for a long time. This isn't just a Patriots fan thing or a supporting the new regime thing.
When you get fired from every Stop you've been as an NFL Executive it's clear.

It was thrown around regularly during Tom's Tampa days by the Belichick fans that anyone who didn't see things their rosy way was a "Brady fan not a Patriots fan". What we're seeing now is those who over the years became primarily Bill fans and rooting for the Patriots their secondary interest. With their hooded hero having been ruthlessly and unjustifiably fired by those dastardly Krafts, their primary interest is the vindication of Belichick and the vilification of Bob and Jonathan and their new coach and GM. So, they now spend their days and nights on PatsFans spamming every thread that the Krafts are cheap and Wolf, Mayo at al are incompetent. It's all perfectly normal.

Well.. he was the Celtics!...

Last I checked the Celtics are one of the most successful franchises in the history of Pro Sports. Just sayin'

+ calling you a “Bill hater” when you criticize the coach which is what every fan base does at times with their coaches.

+ blaming Mac Jones for Bill’s mess. In fact blaming him for everything. He’s like the worst person ever and it’s also his fault it’s cold in winter didn’t you know?

He was fired from NE, LV, fired from Cleveland, fired from SF, every where he's been he's been fired. So makes sense to why he's angry. I stopped listening to him after a while it just became a bunch of hot air instead of football acumen. He uses the podcast to ***** and moan to who will listen. There are about 20 other podcasts I'd rather listen to before his.
Everyone’s been fired in the NFL at some point. NFL stands for Not For Long, that’s the nature of the league.

True. But I wouldn't hire a contractor who no one recommended.

Honestly the Mac thing is annoying because those fans never wanted to admit that Bill built a piece of **** team and wanted Mac to be the scapegoat for everything to absolve blame. Then Zappe also failed and they had no one else to blame. Now we have Brissett and everyone knows we are in for a **** season so we are just pretending most of this team wasn't built by Bill and that Mayo and Wolf are the primary culprits for why the third QB tried will not save the day and prove that Mac was just THAT bad that he dragged Belichick down.

I love what Bill did for this franchise. But holy **** did people have blinders on to how bad he specifically got the last 5 years. His team building declined, and then we started seeing play decline and uncharacteristic mistakes creeping up

If I were to tell you you'd have a HC that built teams that produced 6 Lombardi's, 13 AFCCG appearances (including 8 straight), 9 Super Bowl appearances in a 20 year period, but would be a rough for the next 5 years, would you take that deal? And I don't want to hear who his QB was because Bill picked him and decided to play him when the Owner wanted Drew Bledsoe. In fact, Bob was getting ready to fire Bill had Brady not worked out.

Look at the 49ers right now. They've had some really loaded teams who are struggling badly to win a Super Bowl. Their window with this current team is closing and may never open back up. In addition, they've got the Lions and Packers breathing down their neck waiting for them to slip up.

There's no doubt that Bill's drafting and FA signing's were atrocious the last 5-7 years, but this isn't Madden Football where you could have an infinite run of Super Bowl titles. With that said, the poor decision of letting Tom walk and him winning a Super Bowl was the nail in the coffin on their relationship. They were both on burnout and needed to part ways.

I find it hilarious there’s posters using the term “put the blinders on” who can’t even admit collaboration was responsible for the offense we watched the last three years.

You honestly think Bill wanted to switch to a West Coast offense in 2022? Listen to the Edelman podcast where he does his BB impression ripping the West Coast offense as “easy to defend.”

Vedarian Lowe arrived last year, now he is entrenched as starting left tackle and Wolf couldn’t stop raving about his long arms in his press conference. Clearly he’s a Wolf guy.

As far as Mac goes, SB1 and the rest of you want it both ways. You’re talking about both sides of your mouth. Either Mac is good or BB ruined him… it can’t be both.

Mac sucked, our kicker sucked… those two represent “scoring.” It doesn’t take much more going wrong to have the 32nd ranked offense in the NFL. Offensive line and WR injuries were just the cherry on top.

Our defense is better than KCs.. plus they lost alot of thier starting players to FA. Brady got better with age. He said himself if not for Guerrero he would have been done by 31. Most QBs do the opposite. Last season offense was KCs issue like ours has been. I've said personally I don't think mahaomes is playing into his late 30s I can see him playing probably by 35, 36 at the latest. Also is Reid going to be coaching at 75?
KC's a lock to win the AFCW, just like most years. They have the weakest division by far and a much easier road to the top seed.

I'm confident we will see Drake this season. It's important for many reasons. But the most important is being able for the league to see him in meaningful games. That attracts FAs offensive and defensive guys want to come play with a good QB. In a perfect world the O line plays well this season and at least you know you have a line that can protect. I know it's a stretch to say that.
Didn't you hear? FAs don't want to come to the Pats because of the tax rate.

I'm trying to stay out of it but it's not easy.

What I will say is that I'm real tired of all the Mayo nays in every thread. The guy was a Patriot and deserves a fair chance. So does the rest of the coaching staff.

I don’t think anyone has said Mayo sucks, he has t cus he’d a game yet, but you have to be ignorant to not recognize there are warning signs. Hopefully it’s just poorly communicating in the media, hopefully that communication so far isn’t really who he is.

The owner bring cheap is simply a fact. He always has been. And by cheap I mean compared to the other owners. Once BB had pelts on the wall, earned the power to compromise. So we could always spend to the cap, but we had a low cash budget. (The difference between cash and cap is signing bonus money, meaning we have out much less of that that most teams, which made it harder to attract high level free agents). Now that BB is gone, he was replaced by a guy who was ordered to go in front of the media and correct his statements that we had a lot of money to spend. Suddenly we have 40,000,000 of unspent cap.
These are facts. I know it’s emotionally upsetting to you and others fans, but that is who the owner is, and one of the obstacles the franchise faces. Burying your head in the sand won’t make it go away.
Question. Can we spend/roll this $40 Million into the 2025 year. A yes or no answer will suffice.

This is the first time I had a fantasy draft and did not draft a single Patriots player. Thanks Bill
