Hi Everyone,

Looking forward to the College football season which I believe starts this Saturday the 24th August. I have started this thread where anyone can post re the games being played that weekend and future weekends. As usual I may ask for some help in picking up favourable match ups as I am not familiar with some of the smaller college teams.

Well , lets hope for an entertaining season.

I believe the top 4 as per the AP top 25 rankings are...

1) Georgia
2) Ohio State
3) Oregon
4) Texas

Saban and Harbaugh have gone ,
Michigan have dropped in the rankings
Conference realignment changes ,
Different post season with 12 playoff teams ,
Can Clemson and Florida Gators get back to previous form

Any teams that could do better than their rankings suggest ?

I am hoping that Oklahoma State have a good run but that will probably not happen....lol

Although UGA is pretty close to Saban's 'Bama peak, I feel that NCAA is more even that it usually has been

Good news for me , the stream on YouTube is holding up so far.....but for how long

Where’s PatChick?

Georgia Tech win by a field goal 24 - 21

Continuing week 1......

Saturday

Clemson v Georgia
Penn State v West Virginia
Miami v Florida
Notre Dame v Texas A & M

Monday

USC v LSU

Apologies if I have missed some obvious match ups

Good news for me is that my provider is showing some College games this year....I get to watch Miami v Florida and Notre Dame v Texas A & M this weekend......not bad.

While watching the Miami/Florida game, watch Xavier Restrepo. EVERYONE will want to draft him next year.

Already made a highlight reel catch on their first drive of the game. Approve!

Just watched the Clemson v Georgia highlights. It was only 6 - 0 at half time (2 x FG's) but Georgia were just too strong. Again, it was only highlights but they looked good on offence and defence.

Miami v Florida was one sided , the Gators just did not have enough to compete. That Miami team has a lot of talent. The commentators were suggesting they will get to the playoffs and do well.

Pats fans need to watch every LSU game, Will Campbell (LT) and Emery Jones (RT) are almost sure to go in the first round next year, Campbell in the top 5. He’s better than Alt, Fuaga, Fashanu, and Latham already, next years QB and WR class is not up to the level of this year’s class, and the OT position is a need for all but maybe 5 teams in the league.

Texas A and M v Notre Dame was interesting and a lot closer. Pre game , I did think that Texas would win but it was not to be. Some good players on both teams.

Watched the highlights which did not really concentrate on the LSU tackles but I tried to take note of how good they were. The USC receivers were very exciting to watch. I did not realise that USC had such an explosive offence and would have picked LSU to win.....argh wrong again.....lol

On to week 2 and at least from a ranking perspective the game of the week should be....

Texas at Michigan ,

another ranking team matchup is Tennessee at NC State.

Think I would take Texas and Tennessee as winners.

A few other in state or in division games should be interesting to watch (Youtube permitting....lol).

As far as I can see I don't think there are any major upsets being forecasted this week but who knows.

I agree Campbell is going high R1.
