So, how you feeling about our draft class?

In hindsight, if I had to do it all over again?

1. QB Drake Maye
2. LT Patrick Paul or trade down and take LT Patrick Paul
3. G Cooper Beebe
4. WR Devontez Walker or RB Jaylen Wright
4. WR Javon Baker
Great post. I think of Beebe as a Center not a Guard, but you might consider the Center as a Guard.

J Polk say hold my beer .

I think the First Five is going contribute don't sleep on Javon Baker he'll be alright. This class will be better than any prior BB Draft as a whole.
Baker will be fine. I have big expect for him. You said it best. This draft class looks to be excellent. I expect to see Maye day by end of September.

My thoughts so far:

Maye: A project so no point in assessing now. Looks like a gamer.
Polk: Ceiling seems like a 600-800 yard guy. Floor is pretty high too.
Wallace: A shame he isn't starting given how bad OT is
Robinson: likely going to be the best/highest impact player from this draft this year and next
Baker: Athletic and tenacious but doesn't seem to know some fundamental rules of football or general situational awareness. Coachable.
Dial: Could be a 3rd CB or cut next year.
Milton: We should have gambled differently here.
Bell: Somewhat unplayable if our OL is in disarray but Henry isn't a great blocker either.

Maye is going to surprise us big time once he lines up on week 5. I see some parallels of Brady missing first 4 during deflategate and coming up big in latter half.

Just to be super optimistic, I am thinking what would happen if we start the season 1-3 and maye lights it out with Wallace and okrafor turning out to be above average tackle and line becoming pretty solid and we pounding the iron on the run through onwenu, Andrews and sow.

I have a feeling they will make strange a swing tackle / center backup . Robinson will be our backup guard behind sow and onwenu.

We are going to be surprised by Polk and Bell who will both be possibly having seasons reminiscent of Green Bay wr rookie class last year.

Cousins,
They could have done a ;lot better. They should re-eventuate the Non Trade at the end of the season. Might have been a miss.
DW Toys

Don’t know to which non-trade at the end of the (last?) season you are referring;
EDIT: Nevermind, I understand now, it's the one with the Vagiants for #3

but one non-trade that would’ve helped us is the one The Collaborative should’ve made with Atlanta at #34 instead of the one it d-i-d make with the LAC.

Hard not to be happy with the class so far.

But if I did it again I would be somewhat similar to you but I'd still take Polk and then I'd give up picks to move up for Paul.

Once we get past the first two picks, early indications are the draft is mostly meh. And we aren't sure about the first two picks.

Last year's draft was much better. Gonzo/Keion White/Sow/Baringer/Douglas are sure players with Mapu/Andrews/Boutte still possible.

Mapu will never play a meaningful snap for the Pats and is redundant now with Pep and Duggar, Mafi was cut, 4th rd Kicker cut , Andrews knee is blown.

Boutte I have hopes for. Gonzo may have been overdrafted, Sow is meh.

Truth is we won’t know for a few years if last year’s draft was any good.

Baker looked LOST out there…but has talent.

Wallace isn’t an LT bit could be a decent RT.

Robinson will be fine.

Polk is Jacoby but better

Gonzo was a great pick, and Sow is/will be a good NFL guard.

Whoa, there. The 2023 draft was exceptional, overall with a whiff here and there such as Ryland and maybe Mapu. But look at the other players such as Gonzo, Keion White and Pop Douglas. Boutte, Sow, and Bolden might work out also.

The big problem is that the offense was not addressed enough, either in the FA period or draft.

I still have hope for Baker. His ego is so gigantic, he will not be down for long. Huge egos are a Good Thing for WRs.

As far as Patrick Paul, I have to wonder if Kingsley Suamataia would have been a better...if we went that route.

[And how the hell did KC end up with Worthy (4.21 at the Combine) and Suamataia? The rich get richer. They are playing chess while we are playing checkers.]

Only because there were more overall picks last year.
More overall picks because they traded back multiple times to create more picks.

It’s too early to judge this draft class, I feel the same way about it as I did minutes after it ended.
