so let me get this math right, NFLN is charging the cable companys $1.12 per subscriber and the cable company's per the article are only increasing their rates $.70 per subscriber. I don't think so.
Oh and the Golf channel being owned by the cable company might have had something to do with them not being included in the sports tier don't you think.
NFL Net wants ~ triple the amount of CNN and other popular cable nets. the cost isn't justified. HTey want ESPN money problem is they aren't ESPN. The cable companies want them on a pay tier, they want to be on basic cable so they can get more for their ads.
IOW they want to have their cake and eat it too.
