Which of these WR's will make the 53?
I presume that Bourne will be on the PUP list?
I presume that the three young amigos will make the 53 (Douglas, Polk and Baker)

I think Reagor is possibly a lock.

Bourne
Pop
Polk
Baker
Reagor

Osborne or Thornton for the sixth spot. Probably Tyquan.

Osbourne - Experienced, reliable and he replaces JuJu. 3 seasons thus far of at least 540 yards and 3 TDs. He really is a lock with 2 unproven rookie WRs on the roster.

I see Osborne and Bourne as the only 2 reliable WRs who know their craft and wouldn't be out there just learning on the fly. We need at least one of them. Not sure we need both once Bourne is healthy.

I see Thornton as safe right now--more competing for his place on the depth chart rather than the 53.

I see Boutte and Raegor not making the cut.

Bonus freebie prediction:

I can totally see Raegor landing in KC and everyone flipping out about how we screwed up. The freaking out reaches a crescendo when he makes one big play. Then after a while he ends up not doing **** else there either, and everyone sweeps their outrage under the rug like it never happened.

Eliot Wolf did a fine job replenishing the WR corps.

Polk is the real deal. Great pick.

Teams will be kicking themselves they didn’t draft him in the late first round.

Polk, Douglas, Osborne, Baker and Thornton start the year. Bourne on PUP or IR.

Reagor is a waste of a roster space unless he can get open and catch the ball. Most teams are just going to elect to touchback.

Polk/Osbourne/Baker/Pop are locks, and TT is closing in on being one.

After that, Reagor, if 6 are kept.

It's one of the most clear positions on the roster.
It WAS the most clear until you proposed Reagor making the 53.

Can definitely see Reagor making the team. If we were still in the Brady years it would make sense to keep him for his specific role vs. the shot-in-the-dark that Reagor or Thornton turned it around. But we're a terrible, rebuilding team. I think Thornton and Boute have shown juuuuuust enough that it's worth holding onto them for the off chance they turn a corner one day.

I'm expecting Bourne to start on PUP. I think the 6 they'll keep will be Douglas/Osborne/Polk/Baker as the main options and then Thornton/Boutte as gameday inactive guys but chance to earn playing time in practice. Thornton's speed in particular gives him a shot to become a package player.

I think they'll be fine at returner. Gibson did in WAS. Marcus Jones did it for us as a rookie. Bolden projects to be able to do it. They can sign David Wallis to the practice squad and make him a gameday elevation sometimes. If Thornton and Boutte both show well enough at WR to have any hope, I think they have to roll with them over Reagor.

KB, Osborn, Polk, Baker, Pop, Boutte. Done with Tyquan. Maybe carry another until Bourne is back.

I think Osborne, Bourne and Polk are a little redundant. I'd be in favor of trading Bourne.

Based on the first exhibition KJ Osborn should be in jeopardy but he has an NFL history, was signed by the new brass, no way they cut him and hoping his bad looking exhibition game was some aberration. I expect he'll be better.

Wallis will be on practice squad, and he should be the punt returner if Jones goes down.
Reagor should be cut, he's just not good.

Jackson should be on practice squad as well, like to see a little more of him.

He played one series I think, what was “bad?” He’s been one of the most consistent players in camp. It has nothing to do with his contract. Polk and Baker are rookies and still making rookie mistakes. They’ll take time…

Agree on Wallis, Reagor is on the fence. He has to play well going forward.

Ehhh… okay but nothing special.

First play, put him in motion so he could block on the run play, safety came down, completely whiffed, that guy made the push out of bounds, he jogged after him after missing.

I think he was running a clear out on next play just kind of ran down field and did nothing.

Next play he jogged on his route with Jacoby looking to his side, he looked like #2 option maybe, Jacoby ended up going thru multiple reads and incomplete to TT, I could have covered him. I thought I had left the half speed playback on but I did not.

Next he ran 20 yards down middle and cut to the outside, first read is short middle then him, he actually hustles, some pressure to Jacoby and rolls out, KJ starts his cut at the 44 and it is so rounded he completes the turn right 3 yards down the field at the 41, easy for DB to cover that. He then looks totally confused as to what to do as Jacoby rolls to his side and just stand there between 2 defenders.
Returns a punt, should have fair caught it, catches ball immediately hit and down.

I think he was done for the day, I agree 1 exhibition game and only a few plays. Has NFL success but did not do a single positive thing and several negatives. I give him benefit of the doubt and expect more going forward but will be watching that guy closely. Mailing it in on the first pre-season game? Veteran move? or?

It was raining, let’s see who they trot out there to start against Philly. I’m sure they want one of the two rookies to distinguish themselves and take the job.
