Honestly, he's pretty much had very bad protection in front of him, and he's just learning to adapt to the speed and talent in the NFL. He's learning from all this, and as a kid, he has a lot to learn. We need to exercise some patience.Ouch! The burn…
He’s also not facing an elite NFL defense. Some folks seem to think he’s ready to be QB1 because his substandard play can be excused by playing behind a substandard OL. But they forget he’s playing against an equally substandard D. Put him in a game and he’ll be Heinz a better OL facing a better D so those two will balance and he’ll be no better off.Honestly, he's pretty much had very bad protection in front of him, and he's just learning to adapt to the speed and talent in the NFL. He's been the Patriots beat writer for the Herald since 2018. He's not bad actually, usually pretty level-headed. He's absolutely NOT a Felger, Maz or Volin. Two weeks ago I had no idea who Callahan was. Always an agenda with these guys, being Mr. Hard Ass will get him more clicks and TV spots. It requires no explanation, actual analysis in context, insight, or reporting talent, just sits there like dog poop on a hot sidewalk.
