Is Wheatley the one we traded for with Cleveland last year, or was that Lowe?
Both - I believe they came together in the same deal.

EDIT: They didn't - here are the two transactions:

Looks like August 27th:

"For the 2024 season, the NFL’s 53-man roster cutdown deadline is Aug. 27 by 4 p.m. ET. Every franchise must reduce its roster from 90 players — the maximum allowed during the summer — to 53 by this deadline."

I guess that's not what I meant. If they cut Wheatley yesterday, are they obligated to announce it within a certain time frame or can they just wait until cut down day (8/27)?

Just when I was starting to get good vibes about the OL...
The thing with Lowe is that he was put in a very tough spot last year and he was atrocious.

But now he's a second year player with some experience. Really hope we wouldn't be back here so quick but if Wallace and/or Chucks can't handle it then Lowe offers a little bit of hope if there's a second year leap to be had.

That's a lot of finger crossing, rabbit foot rubbing, and first star gazing/wishing.

IMO they like Chuks and Wallace as starters with Anderson as a backup. I don’t think they like the depth after that for camp and preseason. They probably see the new guy as better depth with more upside than Wheatley.

I think the new guy was on his way to the Boston Aquarium for the weekend and they asked him to stop by. Because Y knot.

It could be multiple thing.

They could want to see if Lowe can be a decent backup to Wallace. Or they want to balance the two lines to avoid leaving Maye getting killed have no time at all.
