oof, good for godchaux... thats a big check

AND at the same time, it's a bitter pill to swallow, seeing him get a check like that...

pretty much confirms what we all kinda knew. Barmore ain't coming back this season.

Gotta have beef upfront to stop the Run and get creative with Guy like Wise and White on passing downs.

Well he did say he was coming back Barmore will be our First injury designation to Return. Keep the fate Paper.

at least as far as 2024 goes...

As I mentioned in the Judon thread, this is throwing more gas in the fire. It's getting flat out disrespectful with how they are handling Judon. They need to just trade him.

Or start treating him with respect by negotiating in good faith, not leaking lies to the press.

Just based on the numbers and without seeing the exact details, it looks like he is making close to his former average salary with a little bump for the increase in the cap. Good for him, pretty low in relation to the highest paid DT's in the league.

He is very similar to Jahlani Tavai, a very productive blue collar player making a median salary for his position. Good value.

All this will be forgotten if they reach a contract settlement... nobody will care.

I said weeks back I thought Judon would be the last deal to get done, his being the largest deal and all.

I still think they'll work it out.

The numbers don’t look too bad. By my calculations he’ll be 32 when the contract terms so i like the length too.

Deal seems solid, not really an overpay. Rewarding Godchaux for getting down to work and putting his pads on while working things out. Makes me think the lack of a deal for Judon is more about him wanting the moon and less about the Pats FO.

And then there were 3.

I expect that Wise is next.

I’m surprised it took so long for him to not even get a raise out of it

Good stuff from back in April ...

There are a lot of players returning from an abysmal team. I know many fans have trumpeted the D, mentioning the O was the true problem. Still, I’d have been open to tearing down and starting over.

I hope it works out.
