PATRIOTS TRAINING CAMP Patriots Training Camp: 7/26

No Kraft sightings.

Pats Unfiltered are talking about how bad the line is looking.
So you're telling me they're keeping 4 QBs this year given that at least 2 are getting an order of Creamed by Sum Yung Gais...

What the heck... I used to be so optimistic...

Adding the best 2023 WRs has nothing to do with the OL. Everyone is reporting that the OL looks awful. Bedard said the OL looked the same as when Patricia was the OC.
One of the interesting things listening to Pats Unfiltered was the talk about the mixing and matching of the OL. Lazar was critical of the move, saying how almost all of the OL have pro tape and the team knows who they are and what position they can play by this point. That Wallace is the wildcard as a rookie, but otherwise, the line could really use some stability and the chance for them to gel.

I really feel like the OL suckage right now is irrelevant. No pads. So the defense is playing practice hero and the OL is half speed? They look like ass?

Let's see how they look when the hitting starts and they can actually play. Same thing with Thornton. Let's see what happens when the 7's stops and he's no longer eligible for the 7 on 7 HoF.

Anderson was our hope to magically emerge as a good LT. He was at RT for one practice and then sat out the second practice. Does not look good.

Lazar is correct. There is a lot of tape on everyone except the rookies, so it is not clear what this rotation is accomplishing. These OL guys with a lot of time in the league, Lowe and Okorafor for example, are not going to be magically good this year. They are who they are.

I don't recall this being a problem in the past.

I’ll take a “very shaky” 17/23 every day.
Keep in mind the DL can completely blow up a play or the DBs can have solid coverage but they play it out so it can still end in a completion.

It is so hard to judge the offensive linemen went they don't have pad. They basically just shuffle in front of the guy across from them. Can't really engage and drive.

It’s still just July. The regular season doesn’t start till September. I’d be disappointed if the coaches were not moving players around at all positions this time of year.

Yep. And people forget the defense ALWAYS looks better than the offense early in camp.

I mostly agree. I hope they get it worked out, but I think there's also a feeling of deja vu from last year when they were mixing and matching and it ended up terrible.

I think continuity along the line is super important. I agree…hope they figure out who goes where sooner than later.

Everything is filtered thru the reporters. We know the OL is bad, so they (reporters) are focused on the negativity, and the OL guys may be hampered in a practice that generally favors the defense. All's I am saying is lets see how they look when they start smacking. I don't expect them to be the 90's Cowboys, I am just not gonna panic on day three without any real contact. To your point above, the DL can blow up a play easily.

How many of the reporters really know what they are looking at anyway? Half? More? Less? I believe Evan
