Aiyuk is forcing SF's hand. The 49ers are in a win now position and can't afford him holding out. They will either pay up or be forced to trade him to avoid distractions.

Meh. I hate the idea of giving up a high draft pick AND paying 25-30 million a year. The talent at WR coming out of college has been very good. Would rather go that route.

Good, things have been getting slow on this board.

Here is a list of some 49ers free agents in 2025: Brandon Ayiuk, Talanoa Hufanga, Dre Greenlaw, DeVondre Campbell, Chaverious Ward, Deommedore Lenoir, Maliek Collins. They're going to be nearly $40 million over the cap, and Brock Purdy will be eligible for an extension.

The Niners window closes at the end of this year. They are all in. Ayiuk is going nowhere.

Edit: Just saw 49ers offered him $26m/per and he said no way.. meaning he wants more. Exciting player, but not "top 10 money" guy for me

1st Round Pick as compensation? NO!!! We'll have a huge chunk of cap money next year AND will be drafting high (certainly high enough to get a Day One starter at LT (in addition to addressing other needs). And, before that, we might have the opportunity to sign a young and talented FA or two. Also, let's see not only what this years draft picks show for promise, but also those that have been drafted within the last 3-4 years.
