I already posted Zappe's stats as a starter in 2022 in the tweet above.

You said anyone could do that... I mean Mac couldn't, but anyone else.
Zappe sucks and his fanboys are embarrassing dude... give it up.

Not one report anywhere that says Bill was stripped of his total control over the football ops. Game...set...match.
The owner announced collaboration, he signs everyone's paycheck including Bills.

You don't even know how the pyramid is constructed. Stop pretending you know things you don't. You're as bad as than Rkarp telling us the fine print details of Belichick's contract.

The owner announcing there would be more collaboration =/= Bill losing total control over football ops.

Sorry

I never said Zappe was the answer at longterm starter, just that Mac sucked and needed to be benched. Time proved me correct.

Mac has started 42 games, Zappe has started 8, the team he inherited from Mac in 2023 was a disaster... Zappe has no fanboys, Mac just sucked and had to go.

I said Zappe shouldn't have been picked at all in the draft from the beginning... and I was proven correct. Maybe if we had a good HC who knows how to win without Brady and who didn't hire his two buddies Jones would have taken that second year leap.

Said right after you make an excuse for Zappe

No coach in history can win with outright poor QB play. Learn the game.

Zappe played better than Mac in 2022 with the same exact team and got benched.

That's ^ referred to as a fact, not an excuse. Words aren't your thing, maybe switch to grunting?

No coach in history can win hiring two bozos in over their head who happened to be his buddies to try and run his offense. And Bill hired them anyway. Weird.

Not really. The Bears didn't seem to think so when they scoffed at his performance after the game. And how did 2023 work out?

Making excuses for Zappe but no I'm not a fanboy

Or how many points did Zappe's offense score against the worst defense in the league last year.
No peeking!

But IT wAs aLL MaC'S FaULt or something.
Great stuff. How about the giants game peppers saying we ass and guess we gotta hold them to 0 points lol

Early bill- TB12, Vrabel, Seymour, green, warren ,phifer, Vince, and many others

Recent bill- sanu for a 2nd, Dalton keen, Devin asisaisi, N'Keal, Chris board, and a host of others.

The Recent bill is what led to 4-3 and ultimately a parting of ways. He cont to ignore this.

Was Maye known as the most cerebral out of the top 3 qbs? I’ve always heard about him being the least experienced and needing the most work but alot of pitt fans (believe pitt is in unc’s conference) around here have mentioned hes a heady qb.

Mac was a better pick than Mills (the alternative).

Mac needed a couple of years of solid coaching in order to develop into a reliable starter in the NFL. He didn't get it.

Mills would have done no better in NE with the same coaching situation as Mac.

And, of course, Mac would have been better in 2022 with Josh as coach, or really with any semi-qualified QB coach, semi-qualified OL coach and semi-qualified OC.
=========
Yes, Mac should have been able to be sooo good that he succeeded with no coaching. NOT!

Kj and the 3 kids are plenty until Bourne joins them. 5 is more than plenty on a run-oriented team.

Why would you want Boutte using up a roster spot. He would never be active. If he is injury protection or there for development, that can be done from the Practice Squad. No one is going to pick him up,

Finally, there are other choice if we want to carry a 6th WR (including Bourne). IMO, all are more likely than Boutte to make the 53-man roster.

OTHER CANDIDATES TO BE THE UNNEEDED WR #6
---------------------------------------------------------
Schuster
Thornton
Reagor
I believe they go with 6. My guess is KJ, TT, POP, Baker, Polk, KB. Boutte has potential. His issues are all tied to maturity. I believe he can make a PS roster spot. Also we need to start talking about Gibson as he lines up at WR in formations as well. I know you had Thornton out. But I'm giving him the benefit of camp.

Yeah very hot
My daughter lives there
Took my Grandkids to see her
Water parks and pools everyday
I am all for easing him in

Go see a show at the Ryman Theatre if you get the opportunity. It’s a Civil War era theatre they spent millions to refurbish, it’s beautiful, and it has some of the best acoustics you will find anywhere.

Been there a few times
Old theatre made for music

He at least called coverage at the line of scrimmage
I believe Daniels and Caleb did the walk to the line of scrimmage, then step back and look to the sideline for play calls.
Maye did not do that
It showed in his chalkboard test with Daboll
Daniels was not so good at the chalkboard

I expect Bourne, Douglas, Osborne and Polk to be active in most games, and only 3 in some games. I only expect 3 to be among our top receivers along with Henry and Gibson. Six major targets for a running team is more than plenty.

Baker would likely be inactive and perhaps be active in a game or two.

When would Thronton get any reps? I expect that Thornton's future was decided when we drafted Baker, after already adding Douglas, Polk and Osborne.

If we can't find a trade partner before Game One, I could see us keeping Schuster on the roster for a month or so, until Bourne is ready or until the trade deadline.

I'm going to pretend this is sarcasm for your sake.
Show me a coach in the NFL that can win without the players... one guy that I have to tip my hat too is Mike Tomlin, he's had just as a worse QB situation the past few seasons and his teams still make the post season in the AFC north. Guys the longerest tenured coach and he's won consistently for 18 seasons. But outside of Tomlin in merely 3 seasons post brady we worsened.

I agree, it’s a players game. A team can look extremely bad if QB play is bad… see the Pats.

Considering the collaboration station re-signed every single priority free agent, it’s clear they agreed this team wasn’t as bad as it looked and Mac was a big part of the problem.
