So Maye is improving, per Curran. Thats a good thing.
I am happy to hear it. Will be happier to see it in Camp and the preseason,
And Mayo & The Pats are still considering Brisket to be the starter for the season -
This is also a (very) good thing.
Brisket should be under center at the beginning of the year, even if we all know Maye is the better player at that time. That's why he was brought to New England. Let him take the lumps while Maye continues to progress. Let him take the lumps while the (left side?) of the OL get settled (i think the LT spot will be a variation of musical chairs while the best candidate for the position is identified in actual games).
I understand the desire to see what Maye brings to the table in real games, but the longer we hold off installing him as the starter, the better off he will be in the long run... Mayo has to give him every advantage to succeed, even if that means keeping him on the bench for a while...
