After the first half of the season it basically became "Is there a reason why they won't win it?" Just flat out domination all year with the two main stars Castle and Clingan/Tatum and Brown delivering night in and night out with the role players supplementing at a high level as well.Thrilled about this. Sure, the series wasn't uber dramatic, because it was domination.
Tatum wasn't dominating, but the TEAM reminded me more of the Patriots 01-04 than any NBA team has in 20 years.
They were deep, the role players elevated, the stars weren't treated like babies that you had to feed.
Tatum showed more in his willingness to share, and allow even Brown to do what he does best - which is be aggressive.
I loved Brown getting MVP for ECS, and I've been a huge Brown guy for years, but honestly Tatum should have won it for Finals.
The way he played in Game 5 should be what he turns into the next 10 years. We can win more like that.
Banner 18 secured! That long Boston sports title drought of 5 years is over. Lol
What a journey.
Big tip of the wallet by Ownership who spent big for this ringWe also need to give a tip of the hat to Brad Stevens who made the right moves to make this roster championship worthy. He moved out Smart and Timelord, he brought in Porzingis and Jrue Holiday. Those guys turned out to be the missing pieces. He also gave Joe Mazzulla more help with the coaching staff.

Tatum really dominated in the 4th quarter to put them awayThrilled about this. Sure, the series wasn't uber dramatic, because it was domination.

Edmonton has the two best players and McDavid can take over a couple games, this might go 7 and Edmonton can win this. Would be a kick in the teeth for Florida. What would be really funny is if the Panthers were to do what people thought the Celtics might do after Game 4
As a Lakers fan, congrats to you Celtics fans. It's always good for the NBA when our teams are good. I think the Lakers are going to be done for a while.
Hey, it meant they could win at home. I'll take it.[cartoon]
A Canadien team hasn’t won the Cup since 1993. That’s pretty crazy. That country is starving for one for sure.Edmonton has the two best players and McDavid can take over a couple games, this might go 7 and Edmonton can win this. Would be a kick in the teeth for Florida.
If healthy 2024 takes 2008 pretty solidly. May not even go 6. That 2008 team wasn't all that good in comparison to other championship teams. They were okay but not a high level championship team imo. Thankfully it came at a time when talent in the league was a little light and fairly spread out. They should have been able to get 2 damnit.Agreed. Hard to say which team is better been 2024 and 2008. Different era. 08 will always be looked at as the gritty, tough team. 24 was a shade more talented up and down the roster IMO and definitely more athletic and fast paced.
You can make a strong argument for this being the second greatest Celtics team of all time.
Once LeBron is gone you'll be fine.As a Lakers fan, congrats to you Celtics fans. It's always good for the NBA when our teams are good. I think the Lakers are going to be done for a while.
