Celtics 2023 - 2024 Discussion

Unreal team effort with the big boys stepping up as well. What a unit. Great group. Hope we can keep the boys together as long as possible. Specifically White and Holiday. Blocked shots, offensive boards, clutch 3's, tough defense from those two almost every night. Stevens put together a squad this year.

No reason we're not in the mix the next 2-3 years.

Hats off to JB. I wasn't a fan of the pick (loved and thought Tatum was the best player in his class) but he's proves me wrong to the highest degree.

Lastly I believe guys like Tatum, Brown, White can all improve to a small degree. Bright future.

Celtics have a player option on Hauser.

White is signed through 2024-25 and publicly expressed interest in an extension.

Tatum is signed through 2024-25 and Celtics can offer him a max contract extension.

They’re in good shape.

Need a replacement for Big Al who's probably gonna ride off into the sunset(well-deserved) but the other Big 5 will be back. Pritchard and Houser likely back as well. If they can stay healthy they got a legit shot of going back to back.
Titletown.
That's what we play for in Boston.

He still plays at a pretty high level though. They have him signed for one more season. $10M. Seems like a reasonable cost for the team and he doesn’t need to move his family for one last payday.

Would be awesome to have him back another year. Playing at a high level.
But another big to groom as a replacement plus give KP and Al some rest.

Horford has $275M in career earnings. If he comes back it's more likely the idea of a second ring to close out his career would be the bigger incentive

I thought Al would retire but the guys still has gas in the tank. It's pretty wild actually.

So relieved this team got over the hump. I kinda felt like this was their "now or never" year. Now they know they can win. Glad this group got it done. I'm younger so I only saw this and the 08 title, both were special, but aside from Pierce, I feel like I got to really watch this particularly group get built from scratch.

It’s so rare in pro sports to see a team this talented and this team oriented.

I’m in the Bay Area and watching the local guys post game. It’s amazing how much everyone admires and appreciates this team.

Even the typical Boston haters are struggling to come up with anything.

No doubt watching him, he has it in him physically. If we're lucky he'll decide one ring just isn't enough, fingers crossed

Proud of Tatum and Brown, man. They've won so much already in their career and to raise a banner no one can take that away from them. It's so cool to have watched them from their rookie years to now.

They've got two hockey teams. Elmont is right next door, the Islanders are more of an NYC team than the Exit 16W Giants or Jete
