Trevor Lawrence agrees a new deal.

Looks like Mac isn't the Jags future. Sad.
There were some on this board who said Mac would be a better Pro QB they're probably hiding in disguise now.

Lawrence still has top end potential but has been mediocre so far. The QB market is insane.
Wide Receiver market too they're 1-2.

NFL Franchises are the worst negotiators. How does a mediocre QB with a 20-30 record command $55M per year? To put this in perspective, Mac Jones is 18-24 as a starting QB. These are the contracts that ruin the market. Now Dallas will have to decide whether to pay Dak who will want to top that. It’s a never ending cycle of overpaying.

Might as well start budgeting Mr Kraft for Mayes second contract.

Mahomes is worth $100M/year if this Lawrence valuation is to be taken seriously. NFL owners might want to start colluding like MLB owners to keep contracts reasonable (only half joking).

It's absurd Lawrence exceeds Goff and matches what Burrow just signed for who averages a putrid 19 TD's through the air to Burrow's 31. Both Goff and Burrow each have 5 playoff wins, 2 trips to the CCG and one Super Bowl.

Everyone should be below Mahomes. Bad negotiators.

Lawrence has been a disapointment based on the expectations but in his defense the Jaguars stink overall, think about a team that has been bad worse than the Browns of years ago and maybe even worse than the Jets (humm...maybe not), anyway...looks like they're still paying based on expectations.

Make the playoffs at least once before this kind of deal is made. Horrible deal.

I would find it funny if Mac somehow manages to upstage Lawrence at some point in the future. I was beyond done with Mac but I can easily see him having success on a new team.

I remember when you had to be top one or two at your position to be the highest paid player at your position.

Not saying I agree with the deal but to play devils advocate didn’t Lawrence already make the playoffs once?

It's not as though Lawrence has been much more than barely above JAG level.

T Lawrence have an NFL arm though.
