Not sure how anyone sees this as anything but huge for the next two years and Drake Maye’s development. Having a solid, veteran center in front of him his first year+ is pretty d@mn smart by the front office.

We've talked about it before, but this team owes me exactly nothing. Never thought we'd see six Lombardis and what, 9 trips to the SB. 11 overall? Unfathomable.

Perhaps I'm alone in this opinion, but, not having a young backup Center who can be a plug and play guy at any given moment is unthinkable. Especially considering the last few seasons as Andrews has aged and having a young stud at that position in the pipeline has been borderline malpractice. Perhaps they've been high on Jake Andrews and possibly the UDFA Center from LSU. I know Leverett can play Center. But, for the last few years, Ferenz was our go to backup, that in of itself was horrible.
