Move Dial to FS?…

4.46 forty
40.5” vertical
10’9” broad jump

That should be a distinct possibility if early results from OTAs & mini-camp don’t look promising. We could certainly use an influx of youth at Free Safety that’s for sure.

Update: Nevermind…I wasn’t aware of his brutal agility results.

I don’t think he is good in open space or zone. He’s more of an average vertical man coverage guy…from what I read.

Even more reason to try him deep, where short-area agility is less crucial than running-to-the-ball speed is.

Gawd, did any of you draftnics watch his tape? I just watched and yikes, on almost every single play there was pass interference. He will not get away with the in the NFL. The good news is that he seemed to stick to WRs like glue, but, of course, these were the highlights.

So screw the testing numbers, what I saw was a guy with great speed and agility, but very poor ball skills who was all over the WRs like a strawberry rash; this seems like a correctable problem and maybe the Patriots have a good player... down the road. The Patriots seems to find late round gems at CB and I am hoping that Dial is one of them.
