B+ Addressed most of the key needs, albeit I would have liked to see them pull off whatever trade they attempted to get back into round one Thursday night. Still, I'm actually both curious and optimistic about the guys they picked. It's a weird feeling. Said it before, but in the past, I wasn't confident. Now, I'm actually looking forward to seeing what these guys do.

I give them a B+ i think wolf didn't anticipate a run on O-lineman, he didn't want to take Wallace where he did. I take it he thought from that he expected there to be more of a choice.

I’m gonna roll with a B+.

Wasn’t perfect, but the biggest needs were addressed. Pretty happy with these results.

I'm giving them a solid B. Love a bunch of these picks and the thought process seemed sound. If Maye hits, then this becomes an A++++ no matter what else happens. But I think some of these other guys are going to be good too. Wolf seems like he's off to a good start.

In terms of going after needs, they get an A. Their offense was Pop Warner level bad. Whether or not they can play will be answered soon.

Thoughts on their draft strategy:

1. Hopefully, Maye is a day 1 starter. But if not, he will play at some point this season because Brissett will get hurt or be so ineffective, they'll have no choice.
2. They understood how bad the OL was and Strange is on thin ice.
3. Juju Smith Schuster and Bourne are looking like a camp bodies at this point and both are on notice. Douglas will be the slot and they drafted two outside guys. Thornton and Boutte have clean slates, but they have new players in their rear view mirror. Osborn will be fighting for a spot as well.
4. BB would've been proud when they took a DB in the 5th round.

C+
Maye was great pick
Reaches for polk wallace, the guard from texas a and m
Love the baker pick
Milton is an exciting pick
The last 2 are Jags

So 2 very good picks 6 not so great

Polk will be a good wr but there were more talented players available
Failure to come away with a highly rated ot is a fail

A- mainly because I was screaming at the screen to take Adonai Mitchell at 37. However, with a little time to digest the draft, I love pairing Polk with Baker, double dipping Wallace with Robinson and getting a steal with Bell in the 7th.

The more I look at this draft, the more it seems the Pats are targeting intelligence, competitiveness and positional flexibility. This team was never going to be fixed in one season, and when taking a bird's eye view, I feel more comfortable now than I ever have with our direction post-Brady.

This is an A+ DRAFT a Franchise QB two very good WR's plus a Solid swing Tackle.
Wouldn’t it be an A+ in 3-4 years from now if it actually ended being factual ? Time will tell I guess

I gave a B. Maye and Baker are the plus.

I think polk was a bit overdrafted, but considering wolf and team were aiming for a solid wr2/wr3 for 4 years, this pick might pan out.

Not too sold on other picks especially the OTs.we should have traded to mid 50s to draft the remaining OTs ( paul or suamatai ) and could have possibly traded the 4th round pick that we used for robinson.

Sweat went the next pick after Polk. Wallace a huge reach. Milton is an Athlete … wonder how he gets used. I’m sure camp cuts will be where we get our vetran OT. Baker is going to be fun to watch

B+

We took a swing on a potential franchise qb and if we hit that alone makes this draft a win.

WR-Stung a little at first moving down from 34 and watching McConkey go but the move up to 110 netted us Baker who I had as a possibility at 68. Worked out in the end and now we have 2 intriguing prospects to help build the wr room.

OL-This is the reason I don’t have an A. A lot of unknown with how our LT situation pans out.

Wasn’t high on taking Milton in r3-4 area but in r6? Perfectly acceptable for a developmental prospect. Thought Bell was a sneaky add in r7.

Maye first was a layup.

I'd have rather they went OT then WR with their R2 and R3 selections. That's my nitpick, I feel that could have been maneuvered better to land a more talented LT candidate in R2 and then double dip at WR in R3 and R4.

I liked the 4th round choices. Including the OG. We have a scary hole at LG thanks to Strange's injury/ineffectiveness and Mafi's abysmal performance filling in.

Time will tell but I am mostly hopeful.

Lots of offense. Thumbs up

Somewhere tonight Mac Jones is sipping from a bottle of Jack Daniels and staring into a fire and muttering bitterly to himself that this didn't happen while he was here

He's writing lyrics to his new diss track. Joking aside, this is what I would've liked to have seen Bill do when Jones was here.

Why are people hyping their grades on maye? We literally picked third and picked the third qb of the draft. It was a no brainer and they had no choice which one to pick since williams and Daniels had already gone.

Give it a C on paper, let’s see how they play out.

Double dipped at all the positions of our greatest need, QB, WR, OL. Some players I liked, a couple players I loved after looking into them, a couple I'm not so sure about. No ridiculous reaches and no-one I truly hated. I gave it a B-

If Maye was ‘a great pick’ then it has to exceed C+. Because his success is the 2024 draft’s success. Everyone can fail if he is excellent.

Juju's contract is too heavy to move. He'll be on the team this year. If he gets cut, it will be next year.
