They sure did. They also only had 47 players on the roster because they were in cap hell. So they had a free spot for a 6th round rookie with potential, making nothing.

Milton is a head scratcher. Everything else, even if I don’t love it I can understand. It was an underwhelming draft, not fantastic, not terrible.

He's horribly inaccurate, has no touch and can't read a defense. There's not really a question, that's just where he is. But he also has a rocket for an arm, and incredible escapability, and power in his runs.

That's why you keep him.

The theory is finding the next franchise QB is a crapshoot, and they're going with the Trey Lance and Brock Purdy (taken in subsequent years in that case) combo.

It's more an indictment on Wolf.

For all the love we gave him previously, the picks haven't turned out all that great..

As I said before, I have no faith in Wolf. I don't care for the draft. I think that ignoring the defensive backfield the way he did is going to bite the patriots in the arse. Especially drafting a kid like Dial who has s**t for agility. 4.42 short shuttle and a 7.29 3-cone..

I think you’re missing the point. “Beating out” Brissette isn’t the goal. By all means he’s going to be better than Brissette right out of the gate, but that doesn’t mean the team is in a position to put him out there. He needs to get up to speed but so does this OL. We don’t want Maye to get creamed even if he beats out Brissette

If it's week 15 and he still hasn't seen the field, there's something wrong. I don't expect him to start week 1.

Agreed, look at video of Jim Plunkett's rookie year. They threw him in w a p^ss poor O line and he got killed. Took him years to recover.
