They just can't give up on him at QB. I get converting him, makes sense, his a big, tough kid with wheels, but that arm, man...
Yeah I am with you. Let him play QB to start. Cannon. Arm.

I like the pick.......Has anyone ever converted a QB into a TE ...hhhmmmmm
Logan Thomas. Was originally drafted by Arizona in 2014. If we can start the conversion process early could be successful, especially because of Milton's top end athleticism.

My favorite Milton quote I heard:

“if you need him to throw 80 yards, he’ll throw 80. If you need him to throw 20 yards, he’ll throw 80.”
There has never been a more accurate quote about Joe Milton, I love it.

Wow! I love it.

Big arm qb with a absolute cannon
Just throws a beautiful go, post/corner, far-hash pass with unreal velocity and decent touch. Super delivery and release package that looks textbook at times for that specific QB. Placement is very inconsistent and thats being nice but he's a very aggressive QB (like Maye) And like Maye he's a very tough physical runner. Big boy that will get tough yards. He's a half field QB for the most part. Stick n shoot. Accuracy drops the more he moves. Locks on to targets and really doesn't gave good placement or accuracy at times but hes a gamer that will run through a wall for you. Has to work on his awareness but again he's a nice project.

I believe Zappe is gone. He still thinks he can start. Has that mentality. Milton is a project that you can work with. Definitely see a change there. Big arm exciting QBs that are very aggressive in all facets. Big change.
I love this one too! He was terrifying to play against in college. The last time there was a QB drafted so low that seemed like such a terror in college was Dak Prescott, I couldn't figure out why he wasn't drafted higher either. I'm not saying that their playing style or ability (especially accuracy) is comparable, but Milton was similarly scary to play against.

Clearly Milton he has some real issues as a prospect or else he would have been drafted higher. Still, this seems like a great value for the sixth round!

As a TE yes all for it. As a qb he might not make the team.
If its true he does not want to play TE could be a wasted pick

I'm thinking he needs to accept the conversion to make the roster as well.

Just give me a football player who's willing to play anywhere to get on the field.

The athleticism is there, but is he willing to sacrifice a bit of ego to help the team?

The thought of him on this team is very entertaining.

Agreed!

A lot of people want to compare him to AR15 but Richardson is/was much farther ahead when it comes to coming off reads about going through his progressions. Better in terms of pocket management but you can't hate this pick. You improve even slightly on a few things and you have at worst a bu qb. If it doesn't work there try him as gadget player and go from there. Maybe it never works but I like the swing we took.

I like the pick but I could not care less about running skills for a QB. Wild that people highlight it so much over actual QB skills.

Mahomes is elite because of his decision making, accuracy and cluthness. Not because he runs.
