Who is Matt Lombardo?

How did you decide he was a 4th round guy?

We've been doing this kind of thing for years. Cole Strange is a 3rd rounder, Tyquan a 4th rounder. Based on what? Based on the mock of mocks which shows where all the Scouts are placing players. Polk and Wallace are both early based on what the mock drafts were showing us.

He was listed as a potential 4th rounder by both ESPN and BR so this not a big reach at all

Yeah they didn't have a plan B basically.

We could all see the need to trade up from our couches.

Reaching is relative. One guy's reach is another guy's steal. You follow your board. They passed up guys while obviously trusting their scouting. We'll see if they're wrong, but all we can do is see how it plays out. Wallace was beaten on just 4 snaps last year and anchored a pretty good line. Still digging into him, but seems like a decent pick.

I hope I'm wrong of course and Polk/Wallace are studs, but guess I'm skeptical based on the Patriots recent draft history. New regime, I know.

Did I say anything or mention the word fire? No I didn’t, what I am saying is I’m not impressed by much of his actions dating back to free agency. I’m looking forwards to GM interviews

Will see, drafting Maye prob got him the job but let’s be honest taking Maye at 3 wasn’t difficult.

You insinuated that they should start the process of finding his replacement with GM interviews after the draft since you’re not impressed with his actions. Sounds like you want him fired to me.

Well let’s be honest Maye was an easy pick…..the others have been head scratchers thus far. And staying put while many other teams are moving all over the board and scoring is crazy….time will tell I’m sure

That’s what got me - the staying put. They’ve got a thick roster now. Move up, take some chances.

They should have 5 guys picked by now. They don’t need eight draftees.
