Fields traded to Steelers

Well Fields is a bust and this trade confirms it. Glad we didn't fall for that trap, it's incredible the power of narratives in the media to talk you into an idea and that starts to grow like in the inception movie.

The reality is that for those who watched the games he is a 160 yards per game QB.

They needed a complete face lift at every position on offense. You can't wipe away the drink of the last 3 years with just a new coach and a new QB.

As for your three identified needs. You wanna fill all 3 of those with a rookie? I wonder how many teams fielded those three positions with rookies and it wasn't a complete disaster.

A GM is still a GM

A Coach s still a coach

A Quarterback is still a quarterback.

Im not gonna debate this kind of nonsense.

I'll take the higher pick regardless of draft year.

The 3rd pick in the draft is no different than the first pick. A pick is still a pick, it doesn’t matter when or where it is.

What a horrible QB draft class (Lawrence excepted).

For the price of a 6th I think fields is a better prospect than a gamble with the third choice QB in the top 3.

Either way would’ve been a better alternative than brissett imo, I also don’t hate Jacoby but fields is better than he gets credit for.

The 3rd pick could be a franchise QB, Fields is a proven bust.

He’s the worst passer in the league? Have you seen our guys? Didn’t he whip the sh@t out of us when we played him? Not saying he’s amazing…but he’s not untalented either. I would have taken him over Brissett.

Brissett is a better passer than Fields. That is just the facts. Brissett cannot run around like Fields though.

Fields is a back up. The league has spoken. No one wanted him even in as a QB who can compete for the starting role. He is the clear #2 in Pittsburgh and will only get a chance to start if Wilson bombs out or is injured.

And people cannot get that 2024 is going to be a lost season for the Patriots. It is a first year of a rebuild. They are going to suck. Brissett at least knows the system and will play within the system which help young players develop. Fields is undisciplined and cannot play within the system which won’t help the young players develop.

2024 is about developing a young corp of players and building for the future. Neither Fields nor Brissett fit into that category. But with Fields, the offense turns into a game of undisciplined school yard football that doesn’t benefit the young players.

The third pick has the same value as the first pick?

LOL

You saved me a lot of time with this one.

The pick when it arrives has the same value, but time also has value.

How about giving me all your money today, and it will be guaranteed returned in a year with no interest?

Afterall a dollar is a dollar.

A dollar is a dollar.

I mean, if I take your analogly at face value, wouldn't a dollar in 2040 more value than it does today?

With compound interest and all, it must!

When does it end?
