"Weaponize the offense"

It's fine to take that third quarterback if you're picking in the twenties.

If you're taking the third quarterback with pick 3?

That's a whole lot of talent you're passing up on just for the right to pick the quarterback that the two teams above you didn't even want.

That’s ridiculous. The only thing that matters is the grade you have on those players, and the fact is that the pandemic pushed a bunch of guys back a year, so having a franchise grade on three QB’s is completely reasonable. By your logic every team should just stop drafting after the top picks at each position are gone. Some years you have two great OL, this year there are 8 with that kind of grade, and almost no DL. Each draft is different in its strength and weaknesses, and you work the draft with that in mind every year. Who gives a flying **** what Josh Rosen did? It’s irrelevant to this draft.

Let me check my spreadsheet.

Says here 3 is less than 5 so that would be covered in the term "Top 5".

I also didn't say there wasn't any talent in the top 5 but you're all over the place.

This is the comprehension thing I mentioned earlier.

2 + 2 = Jayson Tatum sucks

Can't argue with that logic.

It's not ridiculous at all. We're getting the third quarterback off the board my man. We don't have our own pic of the matter.

Is this really above you people's head?

And if the pic doesn't turn out you're the group who's going to be saying well what did you expect they didn't get to pick their player there was already two quarterbacks off the board.

I see right through the ******** so cut it out

Looking looking, there it goes, deep, here it is, CAUGHT, 6'4 Maserati Marv, Touchdown Patriots!

Where did I say that?
I don't know the last three pages of us arguing.

You're saying the third QB taken in the draft won't be good. You've been saying it for a while now. Your whole argument is that why should the Pats take the third best QB when they can take the best player at another position. Therefore the third QB doesn't have enough talent to be worthy of the 3rd overall pick.

I dont even understand the argument. The 3rd qb could be the best one or be a bust. Same as the 1st or 2nd. WhaT the actual faulk. Nobody knows until they are in the building, practicing and playing.

Maybe the 3rd qb can sit a year and the flaws that made him the 3rd qb are fixed....I know..crazy town.

Just keep drafting WRs. Some of them are bound to turn out. If you take Jacob Cowing in the 3rd and Javon Baker in hte 4th, one of them will pan out for you.

Just keep doing this over and over. Every year, invest a couple mid round picks in WRs like the Steelers do.

Then you can afford to send them packing when they ask for $30m.

I'm saying why take the 3rd QB with the third pick when you can just have Harrison.

You're saying. Regardless of wether they're good or not you take the QB cause it's the most important role.

Harrison is probably the best player in the draft. He definitely is day 1.

You're acting like what you're saying is so unbelievably true that it is ridiculous to argue it.

You're also arguing that I shouldn't be predicting the future.

Apparently that's your job.

What you can’t get into your head is that we don’t care. If those QB weren’t in the same draft class they would’ve been the 1st pick.

What we are or at least I am saying is that the QB available at three would be the 1st pick of the draft if the other two weren’t there.

And get some Comp picks, too.

I think you all made it pretty clear you don't care if the QB is good or not.

There is not 3 number 1 QBs in this draft. That's hardly been true in any draft ever. What a LOL statement.

The argument is that the third QB vs the REST of the draft class.

I don't gamble my dude but if I did id take the class vs whatever QB is left. I like my odds.

The Pats are in the position they're in is because the failed to develop a QB. So now they need one. Fortunately, they're in a position to take a good one with the third pick.

That's your opinion. QB is a more important position than WR. It's not called the "most important position in professional sports" for nothing.
You're also arguing that I shouldn't be predicting the future.
I don't think you should because your whole "the third best QB is going to be terrible" prediction is silly at best.

The QB is not more important than Harrison if the QB you're picking sucks.
