I don’t subscribe to ESPN chuckles, I literally googled the article and provided the link.

Anything that doesn’t blame BB for everything isn’t legit according to BB haters everywhere. Bias… it’s a funny thing.
So you linked an article that you didn't read to confirm your point?

Yea, sounds about right.

"We all wanted to do it," the in-the-room source explained, referring to the football operations staff present. "It had nothing to do with Robert."

I'll believe the guy "in-the-room" over Lombardi.

Thank you for participating.
Kraft said on national TV the draft was becoming a more collaborative process and more voices would be heard… but I’m sure we can trust this unnamed source that Kraft was lying through his teeth in that interview.

Not just ESPN, Jeff Howe and Florio wrote something similar.

Here is three links to three different sources:

The headline of the second article is not what the article says. The first and 3rd articles talk about a more collaborative approach to drafting…they said nothing to refute the point that Bill was the GM and therefore had final say. It was his call. Full stop. Nothing at all about BB being forced to pick Jones against his better judgement. That did not happen.

Who said I didn’t read it? It was also cited by about 100 other news sources as a story.

You’re flailing….

It’s funny how you guys have to bend yourselves into pretzels to detract from what is presented in multiple different articles… oh yeah and you people just happen to be the leaders of the BB hate fanclub… but that is totally unrelated.

Maybe they can give us 212 for Parker so Mac can continue to chuck up "50-50" aka "5-95" balls to him in the red zone.
I know one thing, Bill would have insisted on pick 212 for Mac.

BB had complete control of personal. Of course it was his pick. Ridiculous to try and change history to fit a narrative.
I didn’t say it, Wickersham, Florio and Jeff Howe said BB didn’t want Mac… why won’t you guys accept what the media is saying?

Correct, Bill checked with all personnel staff in the room: Zeigler, Groh, Wolf. It was collaborative. It was still Bill's decision. 100%

Kraft had nothing to do with it.

How did you read an article behind a pay wall when you said you don't subscribe to ESPN+?

Bill had final say. There may have been others pushing for him, but if Bill didn’t want him he wouldn’t have been drafted.

We all agree you’re one of the biggest BB haters on this board and the mods had to build you your own little Brady section… you’re opinion is biased.

Dude, you've got less than nothing.

That it was a more collaborative effort does not = it wasn't Bill's decision.

There is actual video confirming the above. Yet, you refuse to believe your own eyes over articles by ESPN and others, that were not in-the-room. Phil Perry quotes a source in-the-room that says "they all wanted him."

The day AFTER the season ended, Bill said: it was a collaborative decision but somebody had to make the final call. That's him, Bill. Bill was the GM. He made the final call. Bill said it himself. We all saw it on video.

Nothing to do with Bill haters. Face reality and try to absolve Bill for what turned out to be a bad decision. **** happens.

You don’t know that anymore than I do, and media has conflicting reports.

The difference between us, is I admit I don’t know the whole truth, whereas you think your “BB sucks” narrative is definitive.

“Because I say so” is not a barometer for truth.

Three links in about 30 seconds of googling = nothing.

There are things you can't learn until you get the guy playing. No one I heard was saying they shouldn't take Mac at 15.

Watching the Dynasty, I see Brady shredding his knee, then back at practice throwing, then getting pissed when they told him that no, you can't fix it at the end of the year! Mac hasn't got that edge, at all. Shows it in the red zone when the game's on the line...over and over again.

You can't know something like that from watching his Alabama tape.
Agreed, your absolutely correct. The main thing that gets so overlooked is the competitive nature of a player. Brady as we came to learn had an insatiable desire to want to win. It has to be in your DNA, something all the greats had. Watching the dynasty even though we all as fans lived it. Seeing those intimate, behind the scenes things like Brady wanting to play after a career threatening injury for most. It's just remarkable. You want to know something even though he isn't starting level material Zappe I feel has a competitive fire I wish Mac had.
