And they have to want to come there. Do we have a QB? Nope. No stud WR is coming to New England even in a trade.
Well, sometimes they have to come here if there is any time left on the contract. But unless you draft the stud receiver, adding one through a trade is more form the contending team needing that piece to bring the offense to the next level (that level being a legit playoff team) and not a team like the Pats who are at the very beginning of a rebuild on offense.

It's usually one year left and so it's not worth the price if all you're doing is getting 2 years (franchise tag) and giving up a 1st rounder for a disgruntled WR

It's all about the money, players will come and be happy to stay if you trade for them and then you pay them at the top of the market.

Tyreek Hill left Mahomes to play with Tua who at the point of the trade was basically Mac Jones 2.0.

Need to sign this guy. Fills FS need.

No surprise most of the top 10 D players getting tagged, Wilkins being the exception. What about D Hunter?
Judon - Barmore - Wilkins - Hunter

Read that the Raiders are going very hard at Wilkins.
Would love to hand him here.
I don’t see many offense free agents vs throwing a bag at.
Give me Gabe Davis, Noah Fant O line, Receiving back, and a bridge QB.
If you got to spend the money get him and Baker and Van Ginkel

Yup $$ is where it matters

With Pittman and Higgins now tagged for $20m+, we need to get real about free agency and realize it is HIGHLY unlikely we'll ever sign a superstar WR in FA. It's been 5 years of trying now. There have been crumbs in FA.

This isn't the year for the Patriots to try for a FA. They absolutely need a LT in round 2. But man is this ever frustrating.

The Steelers have the right idea using 2nd rounders repeatedly.
Great Year to triple dip @WR make Ladd McConkey one of them.

What about us I'd go all in for him we absolutely have the weakest WR cast in the entire league over pay for Calvin Ridley. We are not signing H Henry we have some $$$$$$ to burn you need Very Good WR's in this game.

We're not going to be an ideal landing spot for any WR because we don't have a QB or functional O Line

There are only a few top-quality free agents and a bunch of solid players but lots of teams with money to burn, we can get a WR because most will go for the most money and we can overpay since we have the most cap space available. Do we want to overpay? Probably have no choice

Texans were in the playoffs, have QB looking like franchise guy, on a rookie contract, they have the 4th most cap space. Very attractive landing spot for receivers.

Yeah, all that is true.

But the tweet is talking about the perfect landing spots for Calvin Ridley. We are about as far as you can get for a perfect landing spot for any WR right now. Things may be different after the draft and free agency, but right now we have none of the building blocks in place for us to be a good landing spot for a star WR

The worst thing you can do in the offseason is force things out of perceived need. Guys like Gabe Davis and Fant are going to get overpaid because of the death of talent at those positions in this free agency. Dont overpay for mediocre players. I would rather see them go hard after Wilkins, Tyson Smith, and Saquan Barkley, who would address 3 down back and receiving back in one signing. They don’t have to fix everything in one offseason, they would be better off working on a two year plan and finding the best players for market value, and not overpaying for lesser talent. TE is a good example of this. It’s terrible market, so resign Pharosh Brown and draft one in the mid rounds.

Calvin Ridley is a legitimate #2 WR who would instantly improve our other WRs. Teams overpay for guys at times we should go all in for him give him a blow your socks off offer. Show him the money some guys are worth it we are going to have to pay for BB's mistakes in that area. We have the $$$$$ channel it in the right area IF we are not in it for Calvin Ridley I'm going wonder about Wolf and Mayo Good WR's are a Hot Commodity in this league and WE DON'T HAVE ANY our last Good Receiver came off the dynasty Edelman embarrassing.

I'll say this none of the remaining TE's are worth More than $8 Mill Tops we should get one not named H Henry who can't block for ****. I wound sign Fant or Austin Hooper do not make H Henry rich he's not worth it. I am sure him and his agent are smiling when the Top FA TE signed yesterday.

Disagree with overpaying. Better to double dip in the draft and look at the cap cuts. And they can roll some money over into next year, which should have a better WR free agent class. I’m not saying they should cheap out, but I wouldn’t be giving guys like Davis money they aren’t worth. Being smart about their moves is how they build a great team. They can also explore the idea of making Marcus Jones a full time receiver, he’s sick with the ball in his hands.

I’m fine with a good receiving TE, my issue with Henry is gets hurt too often, and he’s on his 3rd contract, so I don’t see them paying him what he want.

Disagree on Ridley, he’s erratic and overhyped. He’s not the player he was in his early days in Atlanta. He’s not worth the $$$ he will want and likely get from a team that’s desperate at WR.

I'd give Noah fant 10 mil a year on a 3-4 yr deal. He's probably only worth 8 maybe less
But I think it's worth it. He has a solid floor and a high ceiling. Bring back Pharaoh Brown let hunter go draft tip Reiman
