Williams and Daniels aren't
All 3 are not in the throwing drills but will throw at their pro days....not sure about the other combine events.

Yes, teams around the NFL think that teams without a QB will draft a QB.... brilliant.
Yeah I almost said stop the presses talk about stating the obvious I thought Peter King was retired.

Both of these are great. Nate Tice actually says Bears should take Dake Maye over Williams. I think I'm in that camp or close to it. I am really, really hoping Maye gets to 3.
The Daniels analysis is interesting, it is THE question, does he trust his arm enough to throw the ball over the middle.
The difference on Daniels vs Fields is that when he has done it, he has been accurate and pretty good, he just does not do it enough. Fields floppy elbow throws sail and always will since he seems unable to correct that mechanical flaw. He has a stronger arm than Daniels but Daniels is much more accurate.
It's also interesting that when Daniels does not take that window to throw into, he takes off and makes big plays almost every time.
IMO his floor is a more accurate Justin Fields, which puts him in the 15-20 range of QB's, which is not good enough for the 3rd pick in the draft BUT if he improves, he can get to that top 10 area.
It's a big question at his age and experience how much he will improve.
I would trade up for Maye if Washington has Maye/Daniels close.
I would still take Daniels at 3 right now, unless the Pats feel one of the next tiers of QB's is rated close to him.

Spencer Rattler, yes
Cousin, Fact we do not talk about Rattler was the only QB in the top 7 who played in a Pro offense with Beemer at South Carolina and took snaps under center. He might be the most pro ready.. Kid turned around his life and stopped being a punk.

Inn 2020 he was on his way to be a top five pick in the Draft. Then Diva hit him. He was benched in favor of non other than Caleb Williams.

Davey O’Brien Award Semifinalist … named national freshman of the year by CBS Sports … became second OU quarterback to be named an FWAA Freshman All-American (Sam Bradford) ... a first-team AP All-Big 12 selection and the organization's co-Big 12 newcomer of the year … an Academic All-Big 12 First Team honoree … started all 11 games … completed 214 of 317 pass attempts for 3,031 yards and 28 touchdowns with seven interceptions … rushed 81 times for 160 yards and six TDs … his six rushing TDs were the most by an OU freshman QB since Blake Bell had 13 in 2011 ... passed for at least 200 yards in 10 games and for at least two TDs in nine contests … had 15 touchdown passes and just two interceptions in last seven games … his 92.5 passing grade by PFF ranked third nationally (behind BYU's Zach Wilson and Heisman finalist Mac Jones of Alabama) ... ranked by PFF as nation's 13th-best player regardless of position ... led nation's freshmen in passing touchdowns, passing offense (275.5 ypg) and total offense (290.1 ypg) … among all players who played at least six games, ranked eighth in passing TDs, ninth in yards per pass attempt (9.6), 10th in pass efficiency rating (172.6), 14th in completion percentage (67.5), 15th in passing offense and 16th in yards per completion (14.2) … completed 14 of 23 passes for 247 yards and three touchdowns, and rushed seven times for 40 yards and a score in Cotton Bowl win over No. 10 Florida (12/30) ... named Most Outstanding Player of Big 12 Championship after completing 22 of 34 passes for 272 yards and a touchdown and rushing for a 9-yard score in win over No. 8 Iowa State (12/19) …

Most valuable player in Senior Bowl. Talked to the Pats perhaps 3 times.

Huge chip should be on his shoulder to be better than Williams who forced him out. There is where he decided on humble.

Ole Miss, UCLA, Arizona State, Nebraska, Pitt, Auburn, Missouri, and Oregon were among the schools that pushed for Rattler Imagine if he had Oregon's WR?

This kid could be the steal of the Draft. He might have the best arm in the Draft. He played behind the worst OL in the SEC with 11 changes because of injury or ineptitude.

I love both QBs for different/obvious reasons, but if both were available I’d be a bit more comfortable with Maye.

The thing with me regarding Daniels is can he take NFL hits?? This Guy needs to be behind a Good OL with that slender frame. He's Bigger that RG III being 6'4 but Daniels is 210 soaking wet.

I think there's an unfair knock on Caleb Williams because of his height but make no mistake he's going to be a handful for NFL Defenses with his various release points the play is never over with him. I think Caleb Williams have one of the Strongest Arms in the class dude have a gun and he's accurate on the run.

I think there's Three Franchise QB's potentially in this Draft it's QB Top Heavy. I think the Top 3 are all good I'm not on the JJ McCarthy hype Train yet. I think there is good dept also in the likes of Pennix Jr - Bo Nix - Spencer Rattler and Michael Pratt if I'm the Patriots I'm double dipping here @ QB just to make sure.

@BaconGrundleCandy why is nobody talking about this guy QB Kedon Slovis did he kill somebody's Grandmother?? He has played for Big Time programs and with some very Good Pro WR's in the game Today what's not to like on Day 3.

These are the kinds of posts that you shake your head and cry out "REALLY"?

Talk about a keen sense of the obvious. What a shock, the Pats are in the Marketplace for a QB. I wish I had come up with that astute conclusion. Let's dig a bit deeper to figure out how he came up with this gem.

1. the Pats need a QB of the future. = check

2. the Pats have the third pick in the draft = check

3. there are 3 QB's in THIS particular draft who are likely to go in the top 3 picks.

Jeff Howe certainly earned his paycheck with THAT post.

Pardon the extreme sarcasm, but it just happened to hit me square in my sarcasm weak spot when I read it.

Nix and Penix are both listed at about 215 and Daniels at 210. If you watch the first 20 seconds of the Heisman award show posted below, you see the three of them together. Daniels is significantly thinner than the other two. There’s no way there’s a 5 pound difference. He’s also next to MHJ who is 205 and Daniels is noticeably thinner than him too. I find it doubtful that he actually weighs over 200.

If you like Drake Maye you LOVED this clip.

He has very "light feet" as he moved inside the pocket. Effortless almost. I hadn't noticed that or at least it hadn't been obvious to me before.

And that's my point if Daniels is behind an OL that he's going have to run for his life every other play that could ruin a young QB. IF they can keep him Clean we have a Potential Franchise Player protecting him is imperative if not he'll live on IR.
