He’s my sleeper pick for us I think we may take him over Maye or Daniel’s ideally with a trade down between 6 and 8.
If the Pats trade down to 6-8, that may signal to other teams that they are targeting McCarthy.

Other teams would know they need to trade ahead of the Pats to get him, although that would depend on who was there when the Pats traded down.

Yes it’s a risk but if you take McCarthy at 3 you better be damn right.
If you trade between 6 to 8 at least your picking up some mid round picks or a second.

Absolutely, and we haven’t even hit the combine/pro-days yet.

This dude you’re quoting declared Daniels will never win a super bowl or be an elite QB, while also claiming the Pats picking Harrison over him should be a lock at 3. Why bother posting such emotional takes from a nobody like this?

I know nobody asked for my opinion, but there is only one trade down scenario I’m interested in. That is convincing the Cardinals to give up the #27 pick to guarantee them getting MHJr. Then we still get a QB, and can still get a solid OT at 27, or a little higher if we need to trade up a bit. Then draft a WR/TE at 34.

Who cares about what he previously said about some other ****? I agree with this statement; that’s all that’s relevant.

Why wouldn't Daniels and Williams want to throw at the combine?
You can make things more "comfortable" for yourself at your pro day between throwing to your own WRs, coaches scripting the sequences and throws. Although teams will always ask for certain things. Just a little more friendly to the QB.

I have watched his tape, along with the other prospects.

You are missing the point. No one can say player X has the highest ceiling of any player in the draft as a fact. Sure that can be your opinion but that's all it is, an opinion, not a fact.

I mean we haven't even had the combine yet.

So how good a football player a prospect is goes by the underwear Olympics, and not their play? I never understood why Mike Mamula was a first ballot Hall of Famer, now I do.

Cousin, This trade makes so much sense to both Teams. Jefferson is aligned to get paid as one of the top three WR in the NFL. We now can afford to sign him. Why wouldn't we? He might be the premier WR in the NFL

Jefferson is predicted to get paid $30mm to jump Hills $28mm. Kirk Cousin's number is going to be $50mm. If you sign them both that's 36% of your yearly salary CAP for two players.
So do the Vikes take a step back and opt for a top draft pick at QB with a rookie salary number?

Think Randy Moss. If we drop to #11 from #3 we still get a top OL or additional WR. Now let's take #11 and swap it to the Steelers for pick #20 , #51 in the second round and #151 in the fourth.

Perhaps J.C Latham at #20, McCarthy or Nix at #34, WR Ladd Mcconkey at #51, T Kingsley Suamataia, BYU (double dip) at #68 in the first three Rounds.

There is going to be a QB who will drop. Be it Nix , McCarthy , Penix or even Rattler as a thought at pick #34

So Jefferson WR, Latham, OT, QB Nix or McCarthy?, Mcconkey WR. and another OT in Suamataia by Friday night. You extend Jefferson ASAP.

Would that make your first couple days of the Draft? We would need a bridge QB. Flacco?

Get a few FA like Williams, Van Ginkle, Ridley, Schultz and sign one of the expensive DTs. Resign our top 3 FA and we should at least be younger and competitive.

I love the haul of high picks along with Jefferson.

I would love Fashanu, but only if McCarthy is not there.

No way he lasts to #34.

Imagine all of that and still get the QB you love at #11, if that is the guy their QB Whisperers love.
