What other teams do is relevant.
No, it kinda really isn't.
All the employees in the NFL look at the various teams and pick who they work for.
Actually a large number of NFL employees have no choice whom they work for. They get drafted and have no control for 4+ years. That aside...
The employees - whether they are players or not - overwhelmingly follow the best scenario based primarily on money. That will not change, no matter who is making decisions in New England.
Joe Biden will be 82 years old this year. Do you really think he wants to take on the responsibility of being the next president? Really? REALLY ?!?
Well, Joe Biden is a career politician who ran for President several times, served as a U.S. Senator for almost 40 years, served as the Vice President for 8 years and President for almost 4 years. So setting aside how indisputably senile he is, it makes logical sense that at age 82, he would want to continue in his current role. It is the natural progression of his life's work.
What you are suggesting - and why your above analogy is epic fail - is that at age 82 Bob Kraft will radically change his role with the team and take on a responsibility that is light years away from anything he has ever done before, or even
indicated he has wanted to do before. In fact, it is in direct contrast to his own statements regarding how a team should be run.
As owner, he signs the checks (and he obviously has input) but in his 3+ decades of ownership, he has never been the guy making the
final decision on drafting players and pursuing free agents nor has he indicated he
wanted to be the guy making the final decision on selecting players and pursuing free agents. It makes no sense that he would suddenly take on that responsibility at age 82.
So yeah, your analogy is beyond epic fail. Please try harder next time.
