Maybe AVP get's us this guy he's kept his nose clean recently would solve our Third Down RB Problems.

I mean, Covington is a first-time coordinator, so I see their point, but I think he and Mayo are on the same page, so that'll be fine. I'd feel better if Steve is back on defense, as he seems to be the real Xs and Os guy.

I like the AVP hire rather than taking a chance on some young guy. I'm unsure about the ST coordinator, but we'll see how that goes.

I think Wolf is solid if he's in charge of the personnel.

It's taken me a minute, but I'm coming around. Now get the players.

Something I've been wondering with Steve Belichick: Could he turn into an Ernie Adams? Obviously he's got a good feel for the game, as his playcalling has been decent, and he's good from a technical, X's and O's angle as well. He definitely inherited his dad's attention to detail. What he seems to lack (from hearsay at least), is that rah rah, motivational connection to people and players. So I wonder if he'd ever be REALLY good as a HC or even a DC, where he'd be expected to lead in a bit more of a vocal way. But, as a football nerd who studies film and catches 2 or 3 things that can absolutely turn a game on a dime (aka, the Butler interception), he could be excellent.

That's why those rumors he could be like an Asst. Head Coach were intriguing to me. Could he be an advisor on just general gameplanning for Mayo?

He should look for opportunities somewhere else.

5-6 years ago I’d have been interested. His career has been heading in the wrong direction.

A two to three year pack wouldn't kill us he'll be 29 we NEED a Third Down RB.

I am sure AVP will be Fielding a competitive Roster on Offense in our Division.

I agree we need a third down back. I just don’t think Hunt is the one.

You realize this guy was without a contract right before Chubb got hurt?

There's a possibility he doesn't even have a team this year. A strong one in fact.

Living up to your name you're a Feisty one.

I'm simply saying I don't think we need to give him a two or three or contract.

He could be had on a one-year non-guaranteed contract I'm sure of it.

I don't know enough about Van Pelt to know how I feel. He seemed to have done a good job last year especially riding into the playoffs with an ancient relic at QB. He has experience which is good. He is a former QB which should be good to develop a young QB. But I didn't watch enough Browns games to know how he calls the game.

I do like they got someone experienced so that Mayo doesn't have to focus on running the offense as he is learning his part of the job.

he looked bad in the 2 seasons under him
He played in 6 games in 2022 and then 5 games in 2023. So not even a full season's worth of sample size.

But my point was that he was looking better right before he got hurt. In his third-to-last and second-to-last game played, he turned in passer ratings of over 100. It was in his final game where he went down around 70 again, but that was the game in which he injured himself.

You can only hope Mayo is as wrong as the 3 guys mentioned above. Now you get to see how the other half lives.

I've said for a long time, the vast majority of Patriots fans are spoiled brats
Your right alot of us are. We been spoiled with great, winning football for 19 seasons.

I wonder if we'll give Jump Ball Joe a look as a gap QB??

Throttled?? are you saying Miami's Offense have been figured?? Not by your BB I can tell you.

Agreed, but these men have been here, part of the organization they know far better than others coming in. Reiss reported wolf is the unnamed GM, I'm fine with that just name the folks and move into filling out the rest of the staff. Steve who knows? I mean he was offered a Asst. Coaching opportunity.

I tamped down my expectations in 2020. 4-13 was horrible. But I was prepared for 6-11. When you don't hit on your QB, you can expect a lot of 6-11. No matter who the coach is.
