The Patriots Need to start Hiring Coaches at this point...

I bet Seattle is waiting for Ben Johnson - that seems like the closest fit for him.

The fact that WAS hasn't promoted Bieniemy is odd, and doesn't bode well for him.
The only still-active options left for WAS would seem to be Todd Monken or maybe Aaron Glenn?
Otherwise, Vrabel and BB seem like good candidates.

It’s potentially going to be very anticlimactic and depressing for some when operations continue as before, if Groh or Wolf end up with a GM title and not much has changed.

Or current defensive coaches get moved up in line.

The offense is the real area where we could see some real change. If they go with an old BB retread like McD that could land with a thud also.

I guess there is an order about which coaches you target first and then there is a trickle down effect eg : what about the OLine and WR coaching positions which maybe open or under question.
a lot of guys you interview, say for the coordinators position may be considered for another coaching opening after the initial opening is filled... So say Covington does get the DC job... well someone has to fill the DL coaching vacancy... might just offer that job to a guy you already interviewed...

Yup. prepare for ultra-letdown with all of our staffing problems.

Maybe the reason Kraft suggested we wouldn't hire front office or asst. coaches until later in the year is because he knows that no one wants to come here right now!!
It's a team devoid of talent, with a total revamp of a system under a very young, inexperienced HC.

Meaning, if we can land some big FA signings, and hit on some major Draft talent - maybe those who didn't get the OC jobs, or Personnel jobs, will reconsider coming to lowly old NE.

So apparently the OC job for the Patriots toxic - Patriots’ offensive-coordinator job is reportedly ‘not highly coveted’

I find it odd because there's potential for a highly touted QB/WR in the first round, tons of cash to spend to get more weapons/solidify the OL or get a vet QB.

The only thing that would hold candidates back is if the HC insist on installing a system they are not familiar with or if the Patriots organization is simply looked upon as a toxic place to work in.

This is nonsense. Nobody wants to turn down a promotion, a title and more money. New England malaise is back in full force… we’re horrible, nobody likes us… good grief.

These things take time, there’s requirements that need to be met, there’s actual job interviews that have to take place. There’s nothing outside of taxes that makes this job unattractive to an assistant chomping at the bit for a coordinator job.

People need to stop reading depression bait by local media.

Wozzy: he made a valid point we don't have a sexy situation the whole Offensive system needs to be revamped. We were the 32nd ranked Offense we stunk.

Zac Robinson was the target, but he appears to be more interested in roles elsewhere.

I am sure Parker - Juju and Tyquan inspire confidence on Offense. Did you see how quickly BOB left the building and went back to the College game?? Usain Bolt couldn't catch him that's how bad we are.

So what, they have the 3rd overall pick, top five cap space and a great place to raise your kids. It’s garbage…

I hope they use some cap space to dump some notorious salary's Juju's come to mind. Just eat the dead money no need to keep the deadwood.

We have to convince the free agents,
I want Pittman, MJH and Bo Nix offense would go from a weakness to immediate strength.

Otherwise it’s Caleb or Jayden, something about Maye scares me I can’t put my finger on it.

Question is can he be valuable if the injury is healed and a better QB, and offense around him?

I suggest a poll of NFL players to see how many think that Boston is a great place to raise your kids.

I think we brought a cat in the bag didn't get what we paid for. I don't think Juju will get any faster he's heading for his floor I want to Triple dip in FA and the Draft @ WR.

You know I am talking Your opinion or Bacon's regarding QB's everybody else can go to hell. Boy sure wish BB listened to you and took Will Levis he would still be here serves him right.

This is crazy though I do see some flaws but I'm really liking Nix for us on a slight Trade down get an extra pick in the process.

But these are coaches obviously. A big difference. It then becomes an ideal place.

Amen. I agree with the op. There has been plenty of time for due diligence. Would like Mayo to demonstrate capability for expeditious decision making. Not a good harbinger for free agency.
Plenty of decent candidates, stop waiting for manna from heaven and make some offers.
