Can we get in on Moore?
We should identify and move on our OC soon it’s critical to secure the right coach.
It is hard for us to get anyone who wants to coach our Offense.

Would anyone have the patriots as their first choice? as their second choice?

Mayo will do the best that he can.

Because players win games and coaches lose them. Nobody cares about the owners.
The only exception....

Fwiw, Patriots had a 54-42 regular season record before BB while RK was the owner. Four playoff appearances in six years and one SB appearance.
For most here, there was no team before Brady and Belichick.

For them, there are alternative facts. For them, the record before Brady was terrible.

Is it? It seems like positional coaches move into OC roles a lot. Or is that only QB coaches? I generally don't pay that close attention.
thats how i saw it too - OC / QB / WR ... he could possibly jump Darrel Bevel, but tough to jump over a guy who has that type of experience.

Limited OC options is key.
Prefer at least one former head coach and experienced coordinator on team.
QB situation completely unsettled
Need experienced voice in room.
If they hire Caley it means no one else wanted the job

No it doesn’t. For all any of us knows they could hold Caley in really high regard as an offensive mind. When it comes to hiring coordinators and position coaches we have very little to go on when it comes to younger up and coming coaches. We know more about veteran coordinators, but passing on them for a younger coach doesn’t mean they were rejected by the more senior coaches.

One SB appearance that was largely the result of BB joining the team.

Why are people so concerned about Jonathan taking a larger role from here on?
Sounds like Bobby is behind a lot of the recent issues the last 4 years.
The only reason he was "great" during the 2 dynasties is because he didn't do anything - BB ran it all.
If it was up to BB Brady would have been traded in 2014. Thank God we had Kraft.

Two biggest instances of Kraft meddling is

Preventing Tom Brady trade (led to SB 53 win, flat out doesn't happen with Jimmy).

Getting a real OC, wouldn't allow Patricia to do it.

The horror.

Oh sure. I remember Jim Plunkett winning with ease before going to the Raiders.....in my friggin dreams.

This is ******** revisionist history. When asked by John Lynch if he would consider trading Brady to SF Lynch recounted that Belick laughed at him, and that was four years later-2018.
Maybe he laughed at him because he knew Kraft wouldn’t let him trade him.

The reports are that Belichick was showing Kraft how QBs slipped as they entered their later 30’s. When Jimmy G was picked BB said publicly at the draft press conference "We know what Tom's age and contract situation is.” Pretty obvious BB was getting ready to move on from Tom. Beating Seattle in the SB solidified Tom remaining with the team and BB not being able to move on from him.

This has been written about multiple times by multiple reporters. Amazing that some continue to bury their heads when it comes to Kraft/Belichick/Brady

Now you are just making **** up. It was a direct quote from Lynch, Belichick had no intention of Trading Brady.

Some of you guys are talking out of your asses, as well as both sides of your mouth. On one hand you want to claim that Belichick was being overridden by Kraft on trading Brady, while on the other blaming Belichick for not re-signing Brady; when you claim Kraft was the one making the ultimate decisions. Belichick wasn’t interested in trading Brady, and traded Garrapolo, and Belichick was the reason that Brady left. Had Kraft been making the final decision then Brady would have finished his career in New England., that’s logically consistent, trying to have it both ways isn’t.

McDaniels would bring head coach experience and has a much wider coaching network than Mayo does. The EP offense is harder on a QB mentally but probably a better fit for Jayden Daniels than the McVay system, and a better fit for Pop Douglas too.

And all of you think that we should discuss this history instead of Mayo's coaching staff.

I’m not the least bit interested in talking history, I’m far more interested in talking about where they are going. That doesn’t mean however that I’m never going to respond when I see someone talking complete ******** about a past event.
