We thoroughly scouted R Dobbs but selected Thornton and Zappe.

Rooney rule for White candidates??

I would think the Falcons or any other team that hosts BB for an interview would ask him what his take is on his old team being way under .500 and out of the playoffs 3 out of 4 season post Brady.

I wonder how he’d respond to that one. Can’t really blame the players cause he picked the groceries…

Also this report does not sound like they’re closing in on BB as their coach at all.

Falcon Fever. Catch it!

I can't wait to see the 50 camera shots every game with Bill writing notes in his notebook. That should be wicked exciting.

The problem with Felger is that he talks way too much. I watch the BST show with him and Michael Holley, who I consider one of the best, and Felger will constantly talk over him and the guests.

Atlanta's doing the due diligence the Patriots should have done, even if they were going to hire Mayo anyway. As others have stated, the process would have had positive upsides with no corresponding downsides.

Mayo had a clause in his contract. You'll see this being done alot more in the league going forward. Me personally meeting someone for an interview isn't going to Change a teams owners mind especially when they usually know who they want to hire anyway!

In theory we are getting a head start by not having to wait. I don't know exactly what can even be done and how that helps but it has to be worth more than a few sham interviews.

Ironically if BB goes to Atlanta Kraft and BB will have split up but it’s bb who gets the younghoe
Good one Andy I admit that

I am sure bb would select some fourth round kicker to compete with koo for the job

The downside would have been Mayo coaching somewhere else.

Would that creat a legal battle that would end with us getting draft picks like the Jets with BB? All the sudden all the tank people are wishing this happened.

The internet has single-handedly been the best and worst thing for all media, especially sports media.

There are 100 'Belichick reportedly uncomfortable' articles out there now - All of them just say 'reportedly', except for the first article which everyone copied, from NESN.

It's Bert Breer. Mr. Plugged In to Nobody Bert Breer. And this counts as 'reportedly'.
