Can someone explain why Washington gets the #2 picks when the Patriots lost to Washington and they have the same record?
It's too complicated . They have some logic for strength of schedule which takes priority over h2h . So they have the sma e record with a relatively lower strength meaning they have lost more to weaker opponents .

Hence they pip us.

If the Bears stick with fields (I believe they will) Washington will prob make a play to move up from 2 to 1 for Caleb Williams. Chicago will take MHJ at 2 leaving us with the decision between Maye Daniels and Penix.
If NE wanted to go up to 1 it would probably cost something like their 2nd plus next year’s 1st. I wouldn’t make that move - too many holes, and I don’t think the leap from Maye and Daniels to Williams is so great that you should sacrifice a top 30 pick plus a 1st next year where you are probably still picking in the teens.

Of course, if Williams turns out to be insanely good in 10 years we will be pissed they didn’t do it.

The someone else is likely us then. Next highest team that should consider a QB is NYG at 6. The Bears run the risk of missing out on both MHJ and Nabors with teams like Arizona and LAC above them with WR being a need if they trade with NY.
No way they take a qb with the amount of cap on Daniel Jones. Not this year maybe next . After 49ers , panthers fiasco expect qb trade ups to be rare .

The open question is how much CHI cam get from teams that want to draft their choice at QB.

If CHI wants Harrison badly enough, they should trade with the patriots. The price would likely be our 2nd.

I just looked at a mock draft and they have us taking Williams at 3, Bears take MHJ and Wash takes Maye. Don't see it playing out that way myself.

Giants can get out of the Jones deal after 2024 the way it’s structured. If they don’t believe he’s the long term guy they absolutely should consider getting their next franchise guy.

Stay as far away from Daniel’s as possible. That guy sucks and nabers bailed him out all year.

Yea its ridiculous how much credits he gets when he had a potential NFL Probowl WR on the team.

Fear of getting panthered with trade will strike fear in them.

Maybe one additional 1st in 2025 will be max they might be willing to give.

Sucks for panthers fans. Rumors were the coaching staff wanted Stroud after the trade up but were overruled by their idiot owner.

There were a lot of clips of guys on the staff talking to Stroud in a way that seemed to imply he would be a Panther, yeah.

Looks like a near certainty Williams goes #1 and Harrison goes 2 or 3.

I didn't see every college games but from what I saw Penix looked more like an NFL QB.
I watched a couple of his games, and he did look good, but I didn't watch enough to have a good opinion of who they should take.

Long way to go after hours of the season ending. Still have the senior bowl, combine, pro days and interviews to figure this out. Do your homework and find your guy.
