One must be tremendously disingenuous to suggest Warner commenting on Zappe’s prospects as an NFL starter is at all equivalent to Mac seeking strategic/tactical input from former coaches. Not even remotely close to similar, at all.

I am tremendously glad to watch a QB with poise, confidence, and mental toughness. Gobsmacked some folks are still dying on the Mac hill.

The classic one that comes to mind is vs the Bills when he slung Jim Kelly like a rag doll and then smashed him into the turf. Tippett would’ve been suspended for the rest of the season with that sack now.

Kelly probably still feels that one 35 years later

But Payton isn't wrong. The Broncos easily have a top 10 OL and you can do a lot worse than having Sutton, Jeudy, and Mims at WR. Russell Wilson has been accused of making life hard on his OL for years due to how he moves around a lot.
