The New England Patriots are in good position heading into day three of the 2015 NFL draft.
Bill Belichick has seven selections going into Saturday, giving him and the front office plenty of ammunition to move around if they wish to do so. To this point, the Patriots have selected three players; Malcom Brown, Jordan Richards and Geneo Grissom.
Here's how the board sets up on the final day. --
Fourth Round: 101, 111, 131
Fifth Round: 147
Sixth Round: 178, 202
Seventh Round: 253
Quick Take:
The team has targeted defense with the first three selections, but cornerback has still not been addressed. As it stands now, offensive guard and cornerback are the two most pressing needs from this viewpoint.
Beyond those two needs, running back, wide receiver and linebacker could all be targeted positions in day three.
"There are a number of players that could still be a positive factor for us," Belichick said Friday night. "There are guys we want to pick. Hopefully we'll get some of them."
We'll see how it plays out.
