OT: Mahomes and Kelce are big babies - what's wrong with Chiefs O?

I kinda disagree . You have to see that despite spending relatively less of cap space on defense the chiefs defense is balling over the last 3 years . They have been able to do more with rookies and no name free agents.

They've drafted extremely heavy on the defensive side the last 4 years

We have as well . That's why I am saying spags is doing really well with rookies and vets considering the limited resources . We are not comparing with bill , but on relative basis to other DCs, spags is doing more with less and that's what chargers need .

Parker is decent for his cap space.

Around 500 yards a season over 13 games. Decent wr 3 . I am sure 1 WR1 would open lanes for everyone . Maybe mac pass did nor have the zing for a X receiver and zappenis better suited for Parker 50-50 catches . Let's see how their chemistry works in next 2 games.

There was this nice article about zappe gunslinger approach being better for patriots patchy offensive line and slow receivers.

Agreed. I think everyone on the OL aside from Thuney has been underperforming. Especially so at the tackle positions.

Dont be surprised if they somehow work through some of the hitches.

This team has the hallmark of the type of 10-6 teams of the past that ended up the CG anyway. They won't get by Baltimore on the road, but they can easily turn up the heat.

I am not so willing to give away Parker that I used to be. I think behind a true #1 and with Bourne and Pop, he's fine.

I think it’s pretty clear right now that the problem with Juju and Parker was Mac Jones. It’s not a coincidence that both have had their bests games of the year with Zappe.

Parker has almost as much yds with Zappe in 3 games than with Mac in 8 games.Parker has 173 yds with Zappe this year in 3 games. That’s a 980 yds pace over 17 games.

Parker and Juju are going to be fine as long as they don’t play with Mac Jones

Hill ultimately wanted to leave because he didn’t like the Chiefs offer (not enough guaranteed). He said he spoke to Reid and Mahomes to try to work things out. Including Mahomes is interesting because I’m guessing Hill is saying Mahomes could’ve restructured or asked management to find a way to keep him, but it doesn’t look like he did. He liked Miami because of the no state income tax, more guaranteed and he’s living in his house for “free”.

Travis Kelce has Tony Parker disease. Statistically he’s having a good year, but he’s looking worn down and he’s being distracted by dating Taylor Swift.

Tony Romo also had that disease dating Jessica Simpson and going on vacation before the playoff game against the Giants.

Kelce is retiring after this season.

That's the catalyst for much of the whining. Mahomes wants to send Kelce out in style with TDs and a Super Bowl. Big Andy could be leaving relatively soon as well.
