The difference between the Chiefs last year and this year are stark, for the first half of this season they ranked 32nd in turnovers... nobody gave the ball to the opponent more than the Chiefs. Now they rank 26th worst at it, so they're slowly crawling back but they're still to mistake prone.

They also rank 7th in the NFL in penalties, they make dumb boneheaded plays... like we saw last night on what was not a controversial call at all. You can't lead the league in turnovers and penalties and sustain winning.

They won a ring last year without Tyreek, they're not losing now because they miss him.
I was listening to some post game on ESPN radio in my car.. Rodney, coach dungy and another guy can't remember his name was saying the offense misses Tyreek hill tremendously.. Mahomes came into the league having hill, Kelce, Watkins, hunt. They were unstoppable then! They came here and ran it up on us that opening week. To go from an explosive, quick strike offense to what they have now is frustrating for a guy like Mahomes. The only QB that could make most JAGs look good is Brady. I can guarantee you the hunts will provide Mahomes a WR in the offseason. But your right on the other factors.

None of this is relevant now, if they weren’t one of the most mistake prone teams in the league they’re not much different than the weapons that won them a championship last season…. unless you’re saying Juju was a massive game changer?

It's pretty clear he was their Brandon Lloyd last year.

He led all KC WR’s in receptions and yards last season, both in the regular season and postseason.

He’s always been a solid possession receiver. It’s not coincidence Zappe gets his first start in clear weather and Juju leads the team in catches and yards.

It was never about weapons and everything to do with the QB.

Funny how the consensus was Jones was the perfect fit in NE. Turned out he wasn’t a good fit at all. That’s too bad.
Sadly the “consensus” assumed white unathletic QB with an average arm must equal smart qb who can execute a complex system which relies upon QB effectively reading the defense, reacting and delivering on time.
If that were 10 he would have been a perfect fit. That’s not 10 though.

Juju was thier best WR outside of kecle. Even with the mistakes if they still had a burner on the outside he makes those penalties irrelevant. Now Mahomes knows how Brady felt for alot of his career. Scoring is the name of the game. KC used to put up 17 in a quarter.

People didn't factor in that he would have three OC's in three years...one of which was a DC.

They have burners. Moore and Toney can fly, run sub 4.4s.

That’s a lame excuse. No OC excuse a QB not executing the play as designed. No OC excuses a QB shying away from pass rushers no where near him to underthrow east TD but 7 yards on a 15 yard throw.

His OCs actually made him look better than he is. McDaniels protected him before people figured him out. Patricia stopped pretending he would or could throw the ball accurately more than 5 yards and made it screens are us. BOB then challenged him to be a real QB and he couldn’t do it.

Can I ask a serious question? If Brock Purdy has this roster would he look the same? Simple yes or no question.

Agreed. I've asked the question. Give Mac San Frans roster and give Brock our roster. Let's see how they do.

Every good QB will eventually know how Brady felt when his rookie contract is up and the team is forced to make tough decisions. If his weapons don’t suffer then it will be his defense or offensive line.

Tyreek is no longer a Chief because they paid Mahomes and they had to make a tough decision. They won a ring a year later and the Dolphins didn’t. Brady didn’t win one with Moss. Weapons are great, but it takes a complete team to win. The Chiefs would be winning more now but they’re playing poorly.

Tyreek said actually his agent used a contract ploy of saying he was going to seek a trade in the way that many have done even Chris Jones. They had already paid Mahomes before hill. He then admitted he didn't believe KC would take him seriously and move him. Yes I agree it's the ultimate team sport. However KC was always finesse, quick strike team.. they were built on speed and putting teams down quickly. I know that KC did win last season, but they just don't look fluid offensively, everything looks difficult for them offensively. Brady took hits offensively with branch.. we then had an elite defense that kept us in games. Then the 2010s we took hits on defense and Brady was putting up 400 plus a game. You can win different ways in the NFL but need the guys on both sides of the ball.

If you switched Purdy and 10, the Patriots would be over .500 and 49ers would be under .500.

So your convinced Purdy could look like he does with this offense?

Receivers are like any other position. Better players make you a better team, but you can win with players who do their job. The OL is far, far more important than WRs.
Receivers get open due to play design much more than they get open because of raw ability. If every receiver does their job correctly and the QB reads the coverages and progressions and delivers to the right target on time, you have an effective offense. 90% of the completed passes in the NFL are routine execution of play design.
If you have a receiver that dictates what the defense will play it makes it easier to design plays to attack weaknesses. If you have a receiver who can turn a routing play into a big play you have a better offense. But you don’t need those things to be effective.

If your OL can’t block you can’t do anything on offense. The better your OL blocks, the more reasonable play call options you have in different situations and the more complex pass plays you can run.

So you’re convinced Purdy could look like he does with this offense?
Yes of course he would, because he reads the defense quickly and correctly and delivers the ball on time. He may have fewer big plays, but generally would look the same.
